The rest of the night there was a tension between us. Everyone left early, only Shane stayed.
“Do you want me to sleep over?” She asked.
“If you don’t mind…”
“Of course not. I know you’re worried, you really shouldn’t be.”
“Shane, have you got a clue about what she felt for Fiona?”
“Not really.”
“She told me a lot about the two of them. Fiona means a lot to her, Shane, and I’m really afraid I’ll lose her.”
“If she leaves you, I’ll kill her personally, I swear.”

Bette Porter narration
Fiona was sitting on the couch with a beer in front of her. She did look terrible. She looked unwashed and her skin was pale. She had huge eye circles. Her beautiful red hair looked like it hadn’t been washed or combed in ages.
“What’s happened?” I asked her. I went to sit next to her and she looked at me with despair in her eyes.
“I feel terrible, Bette. I never should have left you. You mean so much to me, Bette. I’ve been thinking about you all the time. I missed you so much.”
Bette swallowed. How long had she ached to hear those words?
“Why did you run away? You have no idea what you’ve done to me.”
“I didn’t have a choice. I didn’t want to do it.”
“I don’t understand.”
“I can’t tell you everything. It’s too dangerous. I need you, I really do.”
“How can I help you?”
“I needed money, Bette.”
It fel like my heart fell down in my chest. Of course. She needed money. But why did she come to me then?
“You know I don’t have that Fiona. Why did you come to me?”
“I did terrible things. I just needed money to pay someone. I owed him a lot of money. I sold my body and I did stuff… I don’t want to remember. I’ve been abused and I have done things that make me sick. When I finally got the money together I hoped I could start a new life. The night I was going to pay that person, I was robbed. I lost it all.”
It was much to take in at once. I couldn’t understand it, my Fiona selling her body? She was so damn proud… she’d never do that. She always looked down on the sluts at school, she regarded people who sold their bodies less than rats. She must have been desperate and I felt so much pity. I held her close.

What are you doing with these two, please don’t tear B&T apart, I am mad at Bette and I can’t bring myself to be in her situation or be rational about it, she just left Tina, but if that was all about getting a closure then I understand. Thanks Hun, you are great as always and you can’t have a writer block, it’s impossible you are so full of ideas, you know something, I don’t like this Fiona person that much, she is trouble. Hope everything will goes well with our couple and this was just a tease.Much love

Oh hell naw! Bette made promises to Tina don’t let her fall back into the trap of Fiona for all we know she might try to get Bette mixed up with the life she leads now. Try to help her Bette but don’t get too close.
