After a moment of burdensome silence Bette shook her head slowly, giving her girlfriend a condescending smile. ”Tsk, tsk, tsk…” she mocked. ”Just look at you… So full of yourself, but so utterly clueless…”
Tina could feel growth of the burning sensation on her face and neck. That was not the reaction she had been expecting from Bette. The brunette appeared dangerously calm.
”…and naive, like a five year old…”
”Stop insulting me, Bette.”
Bette let out a derisive chuckle. ”Oh I’m not insulting you, baby. I’m stating lamentable facts. Did you really think that you could keep this secret from me? Helena is a league of her own, so I’m not even talking about her. But you? I thought you knew better than that.”
Tina’s chest rose and fell heavily as she tried to swallow what was happening at the moment. ”Wait–You knew everything?”
Bette closed her eyes and heaved a sigh through her nose. She sensed a severe headache that was building rapidly.
”Who told you? Helena?”
”It doesn’t matter anymore, Tina. This case is closed. Forget about it,” Bette said and lowered her head.
Tina in her turn found herself at a nonplus. What was more, she felt so whacked like she had been carrying heavy load the entire day. She felt like she had been drown by a black wave of universal fatigue. Barely finding strength to swallow some saliva in order to moisten her dry throat, Tina drew closer to the wall, by which Bette stood, and rested her forehead against it. She then closed her eyes and let the tears roll down her cheeks.
”I can’t bear it anymore…” the blonde breathed out, choking slightly. ”It’s all way too intense for me…”
”I know…” Bette whispered as she eyed Tina with tender sadness, following every tear that poured out of her closed hazel orbs.
”When will it end? When will you stop tormenting me?” Tina wept softly. ”When, Bette?”
The brunette shook her head against the wall. ”I don’t know the answer to that…”
A weak sniffle was the only response that Tina could be able to produce at the point.
”Tee… If you want to change your mind about staying with me, it’s alright. I will understand.”
The blonde’s face contorted with pain she felt deep inside, right where her heart was. ”Fuck you,” she spat out bitterly. ”Fuck you many times, for saying that instead of not letting me go.”

Wow Valerie, this is too hard, I like how you are taking them down and even downer and it would be a masterpiece to redeem them up. Thanks for the long chapter and waiting anxious for the update. Waiting also for an update your other story
Oh Valerie, you are slowly breaking my heart! How are they ever be able to come out to the good side?
Sometimes it is better to carry someone in your heart and not be in their lives, so true spoken, but again it will break my heart if Tina decided to leave Bette and try to live a normal life.
I still hope that Bette is a undercover agent and not the criminal like she is.
I think Bette should be careful about Tasha, i don’t trust her like Bette.

But there seem to be no more silver linings at the horizont for Tina and Bette. Bette has to start changing, getting her act together and working on pulling herself out of this mess.
Tina deserves better than a girlfriend who states that she has to run from her or accept the circumstances.
I can’t imagine a way they could survive this mess.
I’m kind of despressed right now but I hope that you will soon continue with you story and give us some positive moments :)

When I start to read it, I go into agony because I do not know how
you will solve all this mess that is the life of Tina and Bette. Bette has to
begins to signal that really want to get out of this life of crime.

Got a notification to my email about this story since you’re on my list of favs lol and so happy I have time to finally click and read. Gosh i forgot how good this story was. I left off at chapter 19 after you took me into a world of emotions, gets me every time. Such an amazing chapter once again, I’m so excited to get caught up, omg. Love it.
