I Will Not Let You Fall

”You are really pissing me off, Kennard” Alice said through the gritted teeth. ”I’m pulling up, so I’m gonna hang up on you now. Your annoying ass is expected here in an hour, so… Don’t make me be more pissed off with you than I already am.”

Tina giggled a little more after Alice had hung up. She put her cup of coffee down on the small table and walked up to the railing. The apartment was situated on a penultimate floor of the building, so the view from the balcony was quite spectacular. Actually, typical Los Angeles with its skyscrapers, giant commercial billboards, hills and the skyline in the background. Tina sighed in a blissful way and streched herself before getting back inside. On her way to the bathroom she collected hers and Bette’s scattered over the place clothes, grinning at the memory of their passion and eagerness.

After going through the entire procedure in the bathroom, Tina stood in front of the mirrow, adjusting her make up. Before leaving she couldn’t resist to kiss her slumbering girlfriend goodbye.

”Baby, I’m gonna go” Tina murmured, brushing her lips against Bette’s and cuddling her reposing figure, causing Bette to arouse partly from her sleep and let out some mumblings. Tina tittered at the adorable brunette. ”I love you”

Bette opened her eyes, looking a little disoriented. ”Hey, where are you going?” She asked drowsily.

”Have to go and hit the books” Tina replied playfully.

Bette yawned broadly, pulling Tina down to her. ”Nuh-uh…stay” She managed to say, falling back asleep gradually.

Tina kissed her once more and, gathering up her purse, left the apartment.

”I swear if you’ll become one of those mushy-gushy whipped-assed people, I’m gonna strangle you to death” Alice ranted, munching her sandwich.

”Oh Al, leave her alone. The girl’s in love, what do you want from her” Dana muttered in response.

Tina stared at both of them blankly as she replied. ”You guys make it sound like I’m a mental case”

    ”You are on this path”

Tina finished with her lunch and lied down on the neat lawn. ”You are just jealous”

Alice and Dana exchanged glances. ”Maybe” Alice shrugged as she responded. ”Not much though… You are all amorous, throw words of love here, there, everywhere. What about your so called girlfriend? I’ll bet she doesn’t even know what the word ’love’ means”

    1. Ok, i think they should have a talk. Tina doesn’t know much about Bette, but i believe they really love each other, but Bette should be honest with Tina about her past and her job, before Tina’s dad discover it.

      Great story.

    2. I agree with Bibi28 they should sit and talk. What Im afraid is Albert might interrogate her at the dinner? Bette sounds like she can be a good person so Im hoping for a good twist.
