    I Wish CH 30

     

    Tina felt the numbness of her heart start to set in as she drove back home after dropping her bosses son off. It felt better than the stabbing pain she had endured at first siting of Bette and the yet to be named woman in the airport. The tremulous throbbing ache that increased in intensity as they made their way through and eventually out of the airport. The soul wrenching pummeling of her emotions on the long journey back to drop off her charge and her eventual landing at home to an empty house, as Angelica was with her new cousin Porter and her Auntie Kit for the evening..

    "I’ve lost her." Sobbing Tina laid on her bed. "I have really lost her for good."

     

     

    "So here it is, the Condo I told you about."

     

    "It’s nice Bette. Very nice."

     

    "Yeah, it’s okay."

     

    "But it’s not home is it?"

     

    "Oh, you’re good. See, I told you I was wasting money on a shrink, when I could just call you for a lot less an hour."

     

     

    "Well, who’s to say I wouldn’t charge you by the hour and you would have to pay long distance."

     

    "It’s really good to have you here Petra. There is so much going on right now, and I am so confused by it all. I know you can give me the clarity I need."

     

    "Well, I can certainly try Bette. You want to get into this right now, or do you want to get a bite to eat and get into this later?"

     

    "Oh, shit, sorry, here let me take your stuff to the spare room, and you can get some rest. We can go out in awhile to get a bite to eat, okay?"

     

    "That sounds great. I am a bit tired. What are you going to do while I nap?"

     

    "I think I will give Tina a call."

     

    "Okay, see you in bit. Thanks again for letting me stay here Bette."

     

    "No problem Petra. Have a good rest."

     

     

     

    Tina heard the phone but couldn’t find the strength to look for it. Feeling that her life had finally hit the end and was crumbling around her, she wallowed in the pain she felt. When heard Bette’s voice on the answering machine asking her to call her, she almost came undone.

Hello cdngrl, wow… I have been missing this story something fierce… please don’t leave for such a long time ever again :P… I love how you have Bette still tripping over what her heart says and what her fears say… she is just so human to be afraid to let go and open up. Tina needs to realize that her own insecurities and desire to jump to conclusions can be just as damaging as Bette’s inability to open up… I love this story… you Rock. Sincerely, JC

    3. Yay!!! I’m so glad you came back to update this story. I love it and hope you’ll continue with some more chapters. I knew Bette would finally get it out that she loves Tina. Please let us see them put themselves and their family back together. :)

    14. HEY CDNGal, Wonderful to have you back after this lond absence. And what a great chapter. At first it was all sad and upsetting but then Petra whipped Bette into shape and got her to go to Tina and explain everything. Tina was heart-broken at seeing Bette in the airport with anouther woman. Sadly all of her worst fears came to the fore. Then Bette’s apology should just how much things have changes or at least have the possibility of changing. The underlying message here is that true love will out all trials and tribulations only if you open yourself up to the truth and share it with your lover. More please.
