    "Bette. Relax. It’s Tina. It’s your Tina. You can do this. Be honest. Be brave, and own up to your mistakes."

     

    "Okay, I ’m gonna go. See you later okay?"

     

     

    "Good luck."

     

    "Thanks. I’ll need it."

     

     

    Bette sat outside the house, the home that held the love of her life, and the daughter of her heart. She was trying to formulate what she would say to Tina, and how. It wasn’t working so well for her.

     

    "Fuck Porter. Get it together. Just spit it out and tell her. Quit being such a Pussy." as Peggy Peabody had told her so many years ago.

     

    Bette opened her car door, and unfolded herself from her sitting position. She look with longing at the front of the house that held so many memories, great and horrid. She hoped she would be able to turn a potentially bad situation into a good one, and with one big breath, she made her way towards Tina and a chance at a life together once more.

     

     

    Bette rang the bell and waited for the door to open. When after a few minutes the door was not answered, Bette rang the bell again. Once more no one answered. As Bette went to check the drive way for Tina’s car she started dialing Tina’s phone. When the machine picked up and Bette confirmed that the car was there, she started to get worried. She walked around to the back of the house, towards the pool to let herself in the back yard. She noticed Tina siting on a lounger, the phone beside her with tears streaming down her face. Worried, Bette rushed over to her.

     

    "Tina are you okay!"

     

    Shocked Tina looked up at Bette.

     

    "What do you want Bette? Why are you here?"

     

    "Tina? What do you mean why am I here? Why didn’t you answer the door, or the phone? Are you okay?

     

    "No Bette. I am not okay. And because I am not okay I want to be alone. I think you know where the door is."

     

    "Tina, what is wrong? Why are you being like this?"

     

    "Just leave Bette. Go. I ‘m sure someone is waiting for you."

Hello cdngrl, wow… I have been missing this story something fierce… please don’t leave for such a long time ever again :P… I love how you have Bette still tripping over what her heart says and what her fears say… she is just so human to be afraid to let go and open up. Tina needs to realize that her own insecurities and desire to jump to conclusions can be just as damaging as Bette’s inability to open up… I love this story… you Rock. Sincerely, JC

    3. Yay!!! I’m so glad you came back to update this story. I love it and hope you’ll continue with some more chapters. I knew Bette would finally get it out that she loves Tina. Please let us see them put themselves and their family back together. :)

    14. HEY CDNGal, Wonderful to have you back after this lond absence. And what a great chapter. At first it was all sad and upsetting but then Petra whipped Bette into shape and got her to go to Tina and explain everything. Tina was heart-broken at seeing Bette in the airport with anouther woman. Sadly all of her worst fears came to the fore. Then Bette’s apology should just how much things have changes or at least have the possibility of changing. The underlying message here is that true love will out all trials and tribulations only if you open yourself up to the truth and share it with your lover. More please.
