“Your life may be different right now, the situations and all, they’re bad, it’s so hard, I know,  but you know as well as I do, it’s not about what you look like, your job, how successful you are, or what people think about you. It’s about having people in your life that you love and who love you.”   He shook his head. “That—that’s all that matters.” Tina didn’t realize it, but she spoke often of Bette and their problems. Henry had listened and knew what caused their problems; he took this time to let Bette know where she had done wrong. “I know I can’t make her happy. She’s not the one. But you are.”

Henry stood to his feet and pulled a bill out to pay. Bette grabbed his arm as he walked by.

“Why? Why tell me this?” She looked up at him looking like a lost puppy.

He looked at her wondering what to say.

“Don’t hurt her. She’s a great woman.” He turned and left the brunette wondering what this all had meant.

“Henry?” She shouted just in time as he reached the door.

Bette arrived at the Planet on time as usual. She and Tina had arranged to pick Angelica there. She was already there Kit was cradling Angelica when she told her that Tina was in her office. Bette straightened up herself and took deep breaths, preparing for their talk.

“T?”  She poked her head in and saw that Tina had fallen asleep on Kit’s couch. She quietly closed the door; tip toed over and sat on her knees staring at Tina as she slept. “I love you so much.” She whispered. “I love you so much and this is going to hurt so much.” She began to cry, but quickly wiped them away. It would be so hard for Tina if she saw her crying. She remembered what Henry had said, earlier.

“Tina…” She spoke and gently shook the blonde to wake her. “Tee, baby, wake up.” She rubbed her behind her ears something she knew Tina would feel and wake up instantly.

“Hey, I’m sorry, I feel asleep.” Tina smiled and sat up. She patted the seat beside her, wanting Bette to sit next to her.
