A month later .. Bette and Tina in their house .. before leaving LA

Putting away the last dried dish .. Bette turned the kitchen lights off and went to join Tina in the living room ..

She found the beautiful blond setting on the couch .. With the remote control in her hand .. Flipping through channels .. Obviously bored ..

After placing a long playful kiss on top of Tina’s head .. Bette sat next to her ..

"anything interesting on tv?"

"not really" said the blond .. Resting her head on Bette’s shoulder ..

"you mind turning it off?"

"no … Why what’s on your mind B?" she gave the brunette a suspicious look .. And smiled …

"NOTHING dirty" teased Bette with a playful look .. Then her features became serious again ..

She petted Tina’s head tenderly .. And said in a soft tone .. "T, do you feel like talking to me now .. I mean .. about your sister and everything?"

the blond buried her head in her lover’s body for a moment .. Thinking about the offer .. Then she lift her head and looked at the pair of eyes waiting for an answer … "let’s wait .. You know .. Till we settle in NY and everything… Ok?"

Kissing the blonds forehead first .. The brunette then replied "ok"

"Bette? Are you ok? You haven’t said a word for the past hour"

Distant and distracted .. The brunette answered "yeah … I’m fine"

Not satisfied with the answer the blonde pulled her head backward to look at her .. Gently touching her cheek .. The blonde said quietly "no babe .. You don’t look fine .. What is it?"

Their eyes locked for a moment .. Before Bette broke it to look straight ahead .. Avoiding Tina’s eyes .. "I know what I’m going to say is gonna sound selfish .. But that’s how I feel .. and if wanting to be closer to the person you love is selfish at least this selfishness should be allowed" ..

Tina listened in silence .. and when Bette stopped for a moment .. She pulled her body away from Bette and not just her head .. Quietly looking at her .. Waiting for her to say more ..
