Chapter 32

They are both sound asleep, when suddenly Tina wakes up screams out in pain. Bette jumps up, scared to death. She soon calms down when she realize that something is wrong with Tina.
Tina, baby, whats wrong? Bette says and jumps out of bed and runs to Tinas side.
I dont know, but it hurts. Tina says and starts crying.
Bette is getting really concerned.
Emily, Sean? She shouts out. A few seconds later Emily is in the door way.
Whats wrong? Emily asks as she gets down beside Bette. Tina is wrenching in pain and cries.
Something is wrong, I think you need to call an ambulance. Bette says. Emily runs out to the phone. She dials 911.
Hey, I live at Southern Chapel Road 356. I have a pregnant lady here, she still has 6 weeks left, and shes in a great pain. Emily says and listens.
Okay, Ill ask, hold on. Bette? Is she bleeding? Emily asks and watches carefully. Bette checks the sheets.
I cant see anything. Bette responds.
No, we dont see any blood Okay, thank you. Emily says and hangs up.
Theyll be here shortly. Emily says.
Oh my God shes burning up, could you get a wet towel? Bette asks, rubbing her hand gently on Tinas forehead. Pulling her hair away and placing it behind her ears.
I cant loose her, please. Tina cries. Bette starts crying too.
Youll be fine baby, nothing is going to happen. Bette says as she takes Tinas hand and squeezes it gently while stroking her head with the other.
Emily is back with the towel and gives it to Bette who places it on Tinas forehead carefully.
Sean is also up now and standing in the doorway. He spots the blue lights outside, and jumps to the door and opens it, so the paramedics can enter.
Bette and Emily is gently pushed aside.
They listen to the babys heartbeat, and considers the pain, so they decides to take her to the hospital. Bette comes along in the ambulance.
Sean tells Emily to follow the ambulance. He will stay home with the kids.
Sean you promised to be there for her. Emily says.
Look at me, I cant drive. Ill get Eric to drive me in the morning. You go, and you can call me with how its going. Please go. Sean says.
Okay, Ill call when I get there. Emily says and jumps into some clothes and leaves. Meanwhile Sean calls his parents to tell them. It rings a few times until Jeffrey answers.
This better be good, its the middle of the night. He says in a tired voice.
Dad, its me. Sean starts.
Sean, whats wrong? He asks. His son wouldnt be calling in the middle of the night, unless something was wrong.
Tina, they brought her to the hospital. Something is wrong with the baby. They just left. Sean says.
Oh, my, well leave right away. Jeffrey says and hangs up the phone.
Sean stays by the phone the rest of the night.
