“IN THE BEGINNING”  CHAPTER 1 & 2

                                             BETTE & TINA

***CHAPTER ONE***

As she finished putting the remaining books on the shelf, Tina Kennard was admiring her new office at Paramount Studios.  It’s been two weeks since she arrived. “Today, all is right with the world.  I have a feeling today is going to be a great day.”  Tina said to herself.

“Miss Kennard, there’s a Bette Porter here to see you.”  Said Katie.  Tina answered, “Katie please call me Tina.  We don’t have to be so formal.  You’re more than my secretary, you’re my assistant, we’re a team, right?”  “ Ok!  TINA, and thanks boss” Katie said.  Tina chuckled to herself.

As Tina crossed to her desk, she put on her jacket.  She was wearing a navy blue skirt with a crisp white blouse, a perfect a pair of cuff links, her brother gave her, and an awesome necklace made by her aunt.  The navy blue jacket was cropped which accentuated her tiny waist.  She was feeling good! “I’m a hot mama!”  Tina said laughingly looking at her reflection in the mirror.

As Tina was checking her makeup, she was wondering who this Bette Porter was. There was a knock at the door.  Tina opened the door, and there in front of her was the most beautiful woman she has ever seen.  This intriguing woman was wearing a black Dolce and Gabana suit.  It was a men’s cut, with a fitted white shirt with the collar open, a delicate necklace and an exquisite pair of cuff links.  Tina also noticed this woman was wearing Prada heels.  It made her legs look like they went on forever!  It also made her very tall.

“Hello, I’m Bette Porter.  Thank you for seeing me on such short notice.”  Bette said, extending her hand to Tina’s. Tina tried to remain cool.  But of course, being Tina it’s not always easy.  As Bette and Tina shook hands, they got a shock when they touched.  They both pulled their hands a way.  “Ah, it must be the carpet, you know static electricity,” Tina said as she blushed.  Just then Bette looked down at the floor.  It was a wood floor!  Tina was so embarrassed.  Bette just smiled coolly with her big dark brown mesmerizing eyes!
