"And only 40 minutes before the incident she was having lunch with us and saying how awesome we were," Carmen said.

"I’m just glad Bette’s okay," Alice said, "and I’m glad she can’t hurt anyone anymore."

A young man dressed in an army uniform walked into the hospital. "Robby!" Carmen exclaimed rushing over to hug him.

"Hey!" Shane said joining the hug.

Tina turned to Tasha, "Robby, as in the boy Bette raised since he was 12 years old after she saved him from the 9-11 attack?"

"The very one," Tasha confirmed.

"How is she?" Robby asked.

"Pretty badly burned, she’s getting a graft," Shane said.

"I’m glad they gave you leave," Tasha said.

"Family emergency," Robby said giving Tasha a hug, then one for Alice and Amanda.

He turned around and looked at Tina, Helena, and Dylan. "Which one of you is the Tina Bette has been writing me about?"

Tina blushed and raised her hand. She didn’t know Bette had been telling her protege all about her.

Robbie smiled at her and gave her a tight hug, "thank you."

Tina’s brow furrowed, "what for?"

"For helping Bette find love," Robbie said, "she needed that. She says you stole her heart since day one."

"She told you that?" Tina blushed.

"I’ve been dying to meet you ever since," Robby said.

The doctor walked in, "you may see her now."

They all rushed into the room with Tina and Robbie leading and Dylan carrying Danny.

Bette was lying on the bed, with her arm wrapped in a gauze. "T," she smiled and then she saw Robbie and jolted up excitedly pulling at the medical equipment.

"Easy there Porter," Tina said, "I don’t need you getting more hurt."

"Robbie!" Bette cried.

Robbie moved to the side of the bed and pulled Bette into a hug. "You alright?"

"Yes I’m fine," Bette said as the rest of the gang filed into the room and surrounded Bette’s bed. Bette smiled at them, "thank you guys for the support. It means so much to me."

"You get to go home tonight eh Porter?" Alice asked.

Bette nodded. She turned to Robbie, "how’s boot camp?"

"Tough, I gotta get back by 5am tomorrow morning," Robbie said, "you know I found my uncle on the base?"

"What? Really?" Bette said in surprise.

"Yeah, when we were searching for him he was stationed in Isthanbul," Robbie said, "when he came back he heard the news and thought I had perished as well."

"Oh my God that’s so great!" Bette cheered.

"Yeah he lives here in LA too," Robbie said.

"So you get to be close," Bette said "I’m so happy for you. He was 10 years younger than your mom right? What’s his name again?"

"James."

"Oh that’s right," Bette said, "I can’t wait to meet him."

"Hey it’s gonna be a while for you to get discharged," Shane said, "why don’t we go to my place and set up for a nice celebration huh?"

"Sounds great, I haven’t had morning sickness all day!" Carmen said.

"I’ll buy the booze," Helena said grabbing Dylan’s hand.

"I’ll take Danny and Mandy," Alice said.

"I’ll get the pizza," Tasha said.

Robbie looked over at Tina who was staring at Bette lovingly. He smiled and said, "I’ll go help out Tasha."

"Alright we’ll see you later," Bette said.

"I’m so glad you’re okay," Tina said once the room had emptied except for them.

"Yeah, and my arm will feel very smooth," Bette said with a cheeky grin.

"Mmhm," Tina said.

Bette sighed, "though I wish I would have saved Jenny."

"No baby, don’t stress about it," Tina said, "she didn’t want your help."

Bette sighed, "that’s the second person who has died on me…"

"Stop right there Bette Porter!" Tina said, "from what I heard Dana was an amazing woman and nothing at all like Jenny. Dana sacrificed her life for you it was her time to go. You have to stop blaming yourself for her death. Instead you have to honor her by moving on."

Bette’s eyes filled with tears, "I love you."

Tina pressed her lips against Bette’s, "I love you too."
