Helena arrived at the offices of Kennard, Truman and Black at lunchtime – there were very few people around and she had to ask where the office of Emma Kennard was. Once she was told she made her way to the office preparing a story to get past her secretary. Luck was on her side – the desk was empty so Helena opened the door and looked inside. Emma was sitting at her desk reading a file

Emma looked up and smiled

Emma got up and met Helena in the middle of the floor – they smiled at one another. Helena briefly wondered if Emma was having doubts. But Emma put her hands on Helena’s waist and pulled her close.

Carefully Helena placed a soft kiss on Emma’s lips – Emma let out a sigh of pleasure – encouraging her to lengthen the kiss. For several seconds they kissed – Emma pressed her groin into Helena’s and they both moaned

“Tequila shots would probably kill Bette “

“How did she take it ?”

Emma pulled her face “I had a fear of that “

“I do wonder how Tina is going to take it “

“I think Tina is going to be okay – I could hardly be seen as trying to replace her mom”
Emma smiled and slipped her tongue into Helena’s mouth – Helena responded immediately – pressing her hips against Emma’s and moving herself provocatively. Emma pulled away
“What are your plans for the rest of the day ?”

Helena closed her eyes – god what was it about this woman ? She fully understood all of Bette’s objections – if it was the other way round and Bette was seeing a much older woman she would be making all the points that Bette had – probably more forcefully. But it had been a long time since she had been so fired up about being with a woman. She went through the motions – she took beautiful women out to expensive restaurants and they ended up in her bed.
