Helena propped herself up in bed and looked at her watch which was on the stand beside her bed. 8am was an insane time to be awake on a Saturday morning but Emma’s alarm had sounded at 7am and she had just gone into the shower. Helena ran her hand down her body and rested against her pubic hairs – they were damp. But that dampness was nothing compared to the wetness between her legs. “About 180 invites – and they can bring their families – kids, partners or parents. Last year there was over 300 people there “
“it’s a nice idea Peggy throws lavish staff meals but a picnic does seem more family friendly “
“I hate to admit it because it ruins my image but its one of the highlights of my year. I love seeing how people’s lives are captured in one day a year, I have a photographer going around all day. I have an album at work and it has a whole history of my family – Kate, Tina and I then Kate and I when Tina was at college and then the three of us then just Tina and I. It is one of my most treasured possessions “
“I can see why its special to you – we should talk about it and I might suggest it to mom”
“Tina was only 5 when we did the first one. She didn’t miss one until she was 19 and she was in Europe for the summer. I really love those photographs “

Emma sat down on the bed. Helena got up and took Emma’s hand and kissed it.
“You okay ?”
“Yeah – I was just thinking about those pictures “
There was nothing that Helena could really say – so she just squeezed Emma’s hand
“I am sure that Tina is looking forward to showing off Bette “
“She is – after Kate died Tina didn’t have to be asked – she just stepped into Kate’s role of being by my side for this event”
