IS THIS LOVE
CHAPTER 94
“Well that was fun “ Bette remarked as she and Tina walked up the stairs to Tina’s apartment. Tina nodded
“I don’t think anyone enjoyed themselves – even your mom’s famed charm and good nature was being tested to its limits by the end of the night “
“Mom is not silly – she could see that Helena was full of hell with everyone apart from Emma – and feck knows what had got into your mom “
“I thought the only thing that got into my mother was Helena but I know what you mean – it wasn’t a success “
“Why did they have to be so fucking defensive – its been a while since I saw your mom so pissed off with the world “
“I had been having a go at her about the painting but I don’t think it was just that”
“I don’t blame you but really it is just not worth the effort – Peggy will get the better picture “
“How do you know that ?”
Bette grinned and kissed Tina on the cheek
“Because my sweet – your devoted girlfriend is smart “”
“That I know “ Tina said smiling at Bette and kissing her
“Not a word to Peggy okay “
“You know that you can trust me “ Tina said
“I know that – okay – so Emma has the original painting of the yacht “
“Yes – and Peggy gets the new one “
“Yes – but Peggy gets a painting of the yacht being skippered by her late husband”
“Bette ! “
“I dug out a picture of him that I had for some unknown reason and it is now in Florida. I have seen the rough sketches of the yacht and I know which one the artist is going to paint and he likes the idea of adding the yacht’s skipper – and the added dollars he is getting helps to stir his creativity “
“Bette – you are amazing “
“Yes I know that – I think it will appease honour on all sides. Emma has the original and she can wrap it up for Helena who actually will really like it. Peggy gets a painting as well and I get to keep Peggy on my side and using me in the future “
“Peggy wouldn’t fire you “
“I am not going to let her even think it “
“Genius Porter “
Tina wrapped her arms around Bette as they reached the door to Tina’s apartment – they stood and kissed for several minutes. Bette squeezed Tina’s ass as the kiss lingered and started to re-fuel the passion between the two of them. Tina ended the kiss so they could go inside. Once inside Bette threw off her jacket and stretched out on the sofa.
“Remind me to keep to my word by keeping out of this whole business with Peggy and Helena “ Bette said as Tina removed her jacket and took Bette’s and hung them both up
“Its going to get bloody isn’t it ?”
“You heard how pissed Peggy was last night. She was really annoyed – this is more than the painting “
“I think it’s the painting and Helena – they do have a combustible relationship”
Bette considered the matter “I think the painting just added fuel to Peggy’s growing anger at Helena – I think there is more involved than just Helena having an undesirable girlfriend. She should know by now that getting pissed off with Helena just makes her more determined. That said “ Bette let out a sigh “They obviously love one another – I just wish they had turned on the charm with mom and dad. I think they might be the only people who can get through to Peggy “
“What was it with your dad and my mom -there was a lot of needling going on”
“I noticed that but about halfway through I kind of switched off. I just kept thinking about how good it would be to get naked with you “
Tina smiled “That is nice “
“Well I did – lets make ourselves unavailable for as many days as possible”
“Sounds like a great plan “
Tina lent closer to Bette and kissed her fully on the lips. Bette stroked Tina’s thigh as the kiss went on. Tina forced Bette’s mouth open and pressed her tongue against Bette’s. The brunette growled as she eased her way up Tina’s thigh, pushing the material of her dress aside so she could touch the bare flesh. Several more minutes kissing past s they lost themselves in each other. When Bette ended the kiss she touched Tina’s face.
“I don’t think I will ever be able to explain how much I love you – you are so great”
“We have something special – I know that its long term”
“So do I – do you think Helena and your mom are keepers “
“Not if they go on like they have been – Helena is on a tightrope with her emotions”
“Can you see her quitting ?”
“Fucking hell no – do you ?”
“Not really – she is smart and very good at dealing with clients but there are a lot of stories about her in the office “
Bette raised an eyebrow – Tina smiled
“She has a couple of fuck- buddies one works in Finance and the other is our HR executive – she is on maternity leave at the moment. I have been told that they like to get together and fuck in Helena’s office “
“Well – we cannot really take the high moral ground on that one “ Bette kissed Tina on the neck and started to lick the skin. Tina clenched her teeth – that just drove her wild and Bette damn well knew how sensitive certain areas on Tina’s neck was.
As she ravished Tina’s neck Bette’s hand reached under her dress and was stroking her pants. As the seduction continued Bette could feel how wet Tina was getting. She pushed Tina’s pants aside and began to explore her. Her inner lips were already wet as Bette stroked them and toyed with them
“Oh God Bette “
“I love you “ Bette muttered “You drive me fucking crazy – I have never wanted a woman more than I want you – every fucking day I crave you and just have to have you “
Bette liked to take her time when she was touching and seducing her girlfriend but the way that Tina was responding didn’t tell Bette that this needed her long game – this was going to be short and hopefully very sweet.
Bette pushed a finger gently into Tina – the blonde’s cry of pleasure encouraged Bette to go in deeper. Bette pushed a second finger inside and started to make love to Tina. Tina was riding Bette’s hand as hard as Bette was thrusting into her. While they made love Bette kissed and licked every available part of Tina’s neck and mouth. Bette had twisted her hand so she was stimulating Tina’s g-spot – something she knew was “ working” because of Tina’s increasing louder shouts of delight as her orgasm swept over her and eventually took control. She held onto Bette as she slowly began to recover. Bette kissed her on the lips
“I love you so much Tina Kennard “

Peggy’s reaction to the painting and repeating ‘John’ just makes me dislike Emma even more. I wonder how Helena will react when she sees it and then gets the other one from Emma? I wonder how the wretched Emma will react when she realizes what Bette did? Emma does not seem like an individual who accepts being one uped by anyone. Her comments to Melvin were condescending. Rosemary sees it as well. This is not a nice woman.
Amazing chapter!
You tell so much in one chapter that it is hard for me to comment on everything.
The evening was a disaster and Rosemary and Melvin saw no spark, just two spoilt woman and i agree with that. Both are so set in their own minds, not being able to see further than their own world. They are not making any friends with their behaviour and their relationship will blow up in grand fashion.
So happy that Peggy loved the painting and that Bette made sure her late husband was on it. Very good and smart move.
It will be hard for Bette and Tina to stay out of the relationship between Helena and Emma, as best friend and as daughter they are in a difficult position. I hope it will not harm their own relationship, but so far they are handling it well.
They deserve a relaxing weekend away.
Thanks for the update!
Thanks Ally for another absolutely great post.
Your characters leap from the page and completely involve me in the story.
Can’t wait until Emma finds out what Bette has done!
Love that Bette and Tina have such a great partnership, they are truly made for each other.
Thanks again, stay safe and post soon

Wonderful chapter…..Emma and Helena do not show the spark they claim they have to Melvin and Rosemary. Is that because the spark does not exist or is it that these two are so different from most people that they are unable to achieve a spark. They really seem to be totally consumed with themselves.
For Emma, life is a competition even competing with Helena in who can present the other with the most expensive restaurant or meal or entertainment. That would get old rather quickly for me. So she goes out to dinner and is being condescending to Melvin about the amount of money he makes. These are middle aged people who have selected their professions for whatever reason and stayed with them for almost 30 years. They love what they do or they would be doing something else. Money can be a great motivator early in one’s career, but once a person has established a reasonable standard of living, completed raising their children, then people work for the love of their work. As long as they have reasonable compensation, to meet their needs, many work for the love of it. Emma seems to be no more mature now than what she was in college.
Bette and Tina are handling the situation as well as can be. There is nothing they can do to make things better between Peggy and Emma. They have given their opinions and advice and now they just need to step back and wait to pick up the pieces when the final battle occurs.
By hanging this new painting in the office before Helena receives her painting is going to diminish the meaningfulness to Helena of Emma’s gift painting. It will no longer be the prize but only the second best. Emma is going to be really angry about this. This really is going to get bloody.
Peggy seems to be tired of the skirmishes and is ready to declare all out war. I really wonder if Emma and Helena have what it takes to even stay together until her birthday. Bette and Tina need to be out of town for the weekend as the battle of Peggy vs Helena and Emma will begin the moment the new painting is seen by Helena.
Great…great writing… love, love this story. Keep it coming…
I was just thinking that Emma should be more understanding of Peggy and the significance of the painting having lost Kate. She knows the sorrow and grief of having lost a spouse. Yet she seems to have zero compassion.
