“The kids will be fine. It’s the parents that are going to have the separation anxiety.“
“You got that right but I’m happy that she will have the experience; plus having the birthday party at the campsite is different. We’ve never done anything like that before. By the way she gave me a heads up that Alice is probably stocking up on water balloons so beware.”
“Alice is such a character. We’ll have to rally the others and gang up on her or maybe we should just pick her up and throw her in the lake.”
“Now there’s an idea.” Bette and Tina laugh together and it’s such a melodious tone to hear them. They finish the mussels and Bette clears the table. Tina poured more wine for each of them and keeps Bette’s company in the kitchen while she dishes out the main course; Coq au Vin served over egg noodles with peas on the side. Tina marvels at how sexy Bette looks as she lovingly prepares the food.
“So did you and Angie go to the building today?”
“Yeah. Joanie put the hard hat on her again even though we didn’t need it today. Everything is on schedule and they are doing a great job. The summer interns have joined the crew so they should be moving along pretty quickly in the next few weeks. I took Angie to the beach and we tossed the Frisbee for a bit and had a picnic lunch. How was your meeting with Jamie, Kit and Alice?”
“We had a really good meeting. Jamie loved the idea of using the Planet as the venue. Kit is going to get a few of her musician friends to perform. Lara is helping with the food and beverages and Alice jumped right in. You know she already got us the media spots and the live broadcast but she’s also going to get Tasha’s friend Papi to do the Casino games and she thinks that she might know someone that can DJ. She exchanged business cards with Jamie and told her to call anytime if she needed anything. I sensed an attraction between those two.”
“Really? I’m not sure what to say about that. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for Alice with Tasha being gone for so long. I hope she knows what she’s doing.”

I forgot, stupid me. But are there not more love coupons or is my mind playing with me after my early shifts from The last months?

Bat! I greatly appreicate the 3 chapters! I was just wishing upon a star for 2 more chapters! I feel ok! Still have the feeling in my chest. Waiting on the results of the blood work from Thursday now. She wants me to do PT. I’ve never heard of having PT for your chest. I’m just sick and tired of this feeling in my chest since January.
