The night was beginning to look promising, they were laughing and drinking, Bette almost forgot why she was upset in the first place. All she needed was to be surrounded by her friends to remind her that no matter what she does or how many mistakes she makes they will be there to pick up the pieces. ‘I love them’ she smiled thinking privately to herself.

Shane went to get another round for the table she bumped into a small brunette by accident “I’m sorry” she motioned to someone else behind her who had pushed her into the smaller woman. “It’s ok really” she shook her hand from the drinks she just had in them that landed on the floor. “Let me buy you a new one” Shane yelled over the music.

“Shane hey!!!” Tina flung her arms around her neck noticeably drunk. “Hey T, I haven’t seen you around…you look like you’ve been here long” Shane commented on the fact that she was now supporting the blonde. “Oh I’m sorry let me introduce you to Brenda” Shane raised her eyebrows as if to say ‘this is your date!!’

Kit took their order questioning Shane about the girl that Tina was with. “Oh boy, wait til Bette see’s” Kit sighed; her sister had gone through enough already did Tina have to flaunt this in her face too? “I think she’s use to it by now, she’s liked Tina for a long time, without Tina knowing”

Within minutes from returning to the table Alice and Dana’s focus turned to Tina and Brenda grinding on the dance floor, they sat closer hoping to block Bette’s view. Bette raised her eyebrow sipping her cocktail through a straw “what’s going on?” she tried looking pass them but they kept moving.

She quickly stood up and saw Tina dancing with another girl; she quickly smiled hiding her disappointment to her friends. “Guys it’s not like Tina’s never been with another girl in front of me, we use to live together…this is easy” she mumbled. Tina use to bring her girlfriends back to the house, she learned to adapt to her being very vocal, seeing Tina dancing with another girl was a piece of cake to her.

“I don’t think they are anything serious, she went out with Brenda a few nights ago, nothing to worry about” Shane slipped the information she had just received. “Seriously its fine, she actually told me that she was bringing someone tonight…I just forgot” everyone swallowed their drinks in one go due to the awkward silence.
