CHAPTER NINETEEN: My Life, A Circus

Tina sighed. “I can’t just go Al, I have to report to the set.” She declined the not-so-invitation with an apologetic look.
“You don’t have to.” Alice smiled. “I took the liberty of calling in sick for you..”
“What?!” Tina exclaimed. “What did you tell them?”
Alice shrugged nonchalantly. “No biggie, I just told ‘em you had swine flu.”
“…”
“Now instead of a three-day break, they’re giving you the whole week off! Great news, right?”
Bette coughed on a fist, hiding a smile.
Tina, on the other hand, looked faint and pale.
“So, uh, where are we going exactly?” Bette asked her friend.
Alice grinned from ear to ear. “The Hamptons, baby!”

Present Time.
“Are we there yet?”
“No.”
“…”
“…”
“Are we there yet?”
“No.”
“…”
“…”
“Are we there yet?”
“No.”

“Are we-”
“No.”
“I haven’t even finished asking my question yet..”
“I read your mind.”
“Oh really?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“You’re a mind reader now?”
“Porters are gifted like that.”
“Riiiight, right. So what am I thinking now?”
“That I’m hot.”
Snort. “You wish.”
“You’re thinking that you want to kiss me.”
“I do not!”
“You don’t?”
“What I think and what I want are two different things.”
“Okay.. so you’re not thinking of kissing me?”
“No.”
Smirk. “Since what you think and what you want are two different things, does that mean that you want to kiss me then?”
“…”
“Do you?”
Cough. “Let’s change the topic and stop threading on dangerous waters, shall we?”
“Why not? It’s fun.”
“It’s torture.”
“It doesn’t have to be.”
“What are you saying?”
“Nothing.”
Siiiigh. “Push and pull..”
“Huh?”
“We’re doing it again.”
“Push and pull?”
“Yes.”
“You getting tired of it?”
“I am. Are you?”
“I guess.. a little.” Pause. “Hey Kennard?”
“Yes?”
“I wasn’t kidding about the mind reading thing..”

Alchy, I’m so sorry for the terrible tradgedy that is taking place in your hometown and country. The news says that another typhoon maybe heading your way. Can you just let us know if possible that you are ok? Meanwhile, I’ll do what I can on my end with the red cross and keep you in my prayers.I’m glad that writing is an escape for you…and you bring so much joy to us in fan fic land. Great update – the teasing is hysterical!!!! I can’t wait for the Bette-Kate smackdown. May the best woman win…hah-hah…we know who that is! Keep the faith!
The end of week is full of ntural disasers. And My thoughts are with people who have been touch by these. GOD bless. You, your family and your country are in my prayers. I hope that you survived this last storm. Some how Kate needs to be delt with. Bette and Tina have come too far for this to be happening. Loved the pee in the bag, made me laugh.

Thank you for the update Alchemy, you’re so right, we all need laughter nowadays, even for just a little while. And hoping against nature that this weekend , I shall open my eyes with sunlight and with another post instead of the opposite. Can’t wait to read Bette and Tina getting pass this.

Alchemy, I am still trying to catch up. I fell behind 6 chappies. I think I was half way on the last one. But, this is a short chappy. I should be caught up by this weekend, you and school are keeping me very busy.
