    CHAPTER TEN: B and S

    Previously..

Through an art gallery’s huge display window, a picture of a laughing Bette and a beautiful stranger assaulted her brown eyes and rendered her speechless. They were acting chummy as they stood in front of a small painting of a scenic waterfall, playfully nudging the other and giggling up a storm by the looks of it. Weird, she thought. For Bette to be behaving as comfortably and a little touchy-feely as she did now, would mean that she was close to the woman with her. Bette emitted the kind of ease that they only saw when she was with F4 and Tina. And the thing which puzzled Sam the most was that she didn’t recognize the redhead with her bestfriend – she knew everyone Bette was friends with, and there was nothing familiar with the one the brunette was with now. Sure, the girl was dressed shabby – but there was nothing shabby about her looks. With her suspicions building up, Sam shook her head and sighed in disappointment. “What the heck are you doing, B?” She whispered beneath her breath, can’t help but feeling let down. Bette may have kept a few things from her – but her bestfriend never lied to her. And now, she couldn’t help but suspect that the thing about the debate prep was a huge lie. She wanted to give her bestfriend the benefit of the doubt – but the constant nagging inside her chest made it hard to do so. Bette seemed a little distant recently. Was the redhead with her the reason for her peculiar and slightly withdrawn behavior? Sam rubbed her hot face and exhaled slowly, feeling her temples throbbing painfully. For the second time tonight, her mobile rang with a call from Alice. Ducking out from the cover of the fern, Sam resumed her walk back to the restaurant – her movements mechanical and forced. Entering the sushi bar, she took another deep breath. She needed to put up a brave and unaffected face – not for her, but for the benefit of the hard working and oblivious blonde looking at her from behind a counter.

    2. So glad to see you back! I had just been thinking yesterday that you would be back soon and here you are! sorry to hear about the mix up with your paperwork but maybe it’s a blessing…I know it is if you get the opportunity to post more! Glad you’re back, preparing for things to come undone in the story…

    3. OH my GOD you’re FINALLY back!!!welcomewelcome..you know you just made my day with this post!! You were so missed ..let me tell you!! and you managed to wonderfully pick up where you left it..great post!! things are so gonna blow-up in Bette’s face…sorry about your exams, but glad you can relax, and now post again!! and of course special thanks for the “…”…they never go unnoticed ;)

    4. I’m glad Bette lost her game with Sam, this way at least the truth is coming out to someone. But, she needs to be telling Tina this as well… before it all comes apart in disastrous fashion. I’m delighted you’re back Alchemy, but I’m sorry to hear about your exams. Bright side, you’ll have so much time to prepare you’ll know the material like the back of your hand and ace the tests, yeah? Yeah! Thanks for posting, and more when you can. :)

    5. Thanks for the post Alch. I feel for Bette and all the $#!t she has to deal with, but I do hope she opens up to Sam and most importantly Tina. I was sweating bullets when I read Jill and Tina’s encounter. Man, you like to walk that edge don’t you. Sorry things didn’t work out as you planned, but at least you get take the exam, even if it is next year. Looking forward to your posts, and thanks so much.

    6. What a treat to see you back posting. Somehow I missed your last post so I got to read 46 pages in one sitting!! Not truly a 40+ page post, but kinda…sorta! Love, love, love this story, but I’m hoping the only thing to come “undone” is Bette’s emotional barriers and not their relationship. Nice little triangle you’ve got going there, as well. Hope the postponement of your exam turns to a positive.

    7. I must say that so glad you finally posted. And your authors note? Fantastic! :) Bette needs to really tell someones for the sake of her own sanity, and it would’t hurt if she tells to Tina too.

    8. I’m so very glad you’re back! Sorry your exams got delayed, but I hope it turns out to be a blessing in disguise since you’ll end up getting extra time to study. I’m glad Bette’s finally unloading some of this stuff. Hopefully Sam will help. And how lucky was it that Sam interrupted her and Jill? Tina’s surprise would have been totally ruined!

    9. OMG… this just gets better and better… i am so glad bette is about to open up to sammy… and what luck… jill knows tina… nice twist… i think they both would of shit… ok… waiting for the next chapter… love this…

    10. Alchemy! What a surprise. Welcome back…you’ve been missed!!!I feel drama coming round the corner. Hope Bette comes clean with Sam…and Tina (before Tina finds out and explodes with jealousy!). Bring it on Alchemy!

    11. Hey girl, welcome back! I think that is good for you to have some extra time to study. I hope you relax a bit. My exams ends in a week but so far I didnt’ t do as good as I wanted. I have my final exams in Pathology at Wednesday. Do you think that until Tuesday you will post another chapter? I want to relax before that course! It really exhausted me. And reading your story is one of the best ways I can thing of relax. During my exams, in my breaks of studying, I read all your previous chapters and I mean JTG 1.0! I really love this story. Thank you for your post. I can’ t wait for Bette to open up. I want to know what’ s going on. And of course I want to see Tina’ s reaction when she will find out about Bette’ s and Jill’ s friendship or about Candace. Anyway, you have all of our attention once again. Kisses.
