Artist: Used to be a café?

Bette: Yes. My sister Kit owns it. It’s still a café during the day but Kit hired a new chef and she’s looking to bring musicians in a few nights a week. Susan Alegrato is performing there tonight. Would you like to go as my guest?

Artist: I’m a big fan of Susan Alegrato. As a matter of fact I just got her new CD. I’m sorry Bette I’d love to go but I’m dating someone right now …

Bette: Hey don’t be sorry. As a matter of fact why don’t you invite her? We have a VIP table. You can both be my guests.

    Artist: Are you sure?

Bette: Absolutely. I’ll leave your names at the door.

Artist: That would be great. Thank you Bette.

Bette: Great. I’ll see you tonight then.

Later that evening all three are seated at the VIP table at the Planet. Susan Alegrato had just finished her performance when Bette is approached by a woman who introduces herself as Allyson a member of a band that played at the Planet a few weeks prior.

Bette: Oh yes I remember you. Nice to see you again Allyson.

Allyson: This is so not a feminist thing to say but there are a group of women that have you meat-tagged like nobody’s business.

Bette had been out of the dating game for quite some time and is not familiar with the vernacular.

Bette: I don’t know what that means.

Artist: Meat-tagged; that means that they’ve marked you as a hot item.

Allyson: Girls are lining up around the block to get on your dance card.

Allyson smiles at Bette as she indicates several women looking their way.

Bette: Great my neighbors will love that.

Bette is a bit embarrassed by the attention. She’s a stunningly beautiful woman who has always attracted both men and women but she never really paid attention especially since she’d been with Tina for the past 8 years.

Bette takes it all in stride as women keep coming up to her dropping business cards and introducing themselves with an invitation to call. This is a great ego boost for our Ms. Porter. The artist and her girlfriend Valerie continue to kid her – all in good fun. Bette Porter is enjoying the night out as she is able to laugh at her own expense.

    1. Thank you so much for the quick update!

I agree with you, It was deservice to the Kennard-Porter family that Angie stayed so much in the background, but in the Netherlands are rules of how many times a child is allowed to act in a show. So maybe in the USA kids are also not aloud to act that much?

But i am glad that Angie plays a big role in your story.

    2. Thanks for releasing me from cliff hanging so quickly :)

Agree wholeheartedly with your Author’s Note and think they could have worked around child actors permitted hours if they had tried. The writers seem to have lost the real essence behind in S5/S6.nd B & T’s characters.

Look forward to more in this story.
