The flight wasn’t so bad after all. By the time they were on the approach for landing Bette’s great mood returned. She and Leigh had made amends. Their friendship was restored and it would be meaningful and lifelong.

Bette turned on her cell phone as soon as the flight attendant made the announcement that it was OK to do so. She saw a text message from Tina. It said “Bette … Angie and I are having dinner with Kit. Angie might spend the night. Call my cell if you don’t reach us at the house. T”

Bette was undecided if she should stick to her original plan of going home first to get her car. She decided she was too anxious to see her family, so instead she took a cab directly to Kit’s. Bette was exhausted and she knew Angie would be exhausting but she didn’t want her daughter staying at Kit’s when she could have her home. Bette said good-bye to Leigh as they fell into a familiar embrace. Each took separate cabs with the promise to be in touch soon.

Tina and Angie had accomplished everything they set out to do on Saturday. They had their manicures and pedicures then they headed over to the Planet for lunch. Of course Angie didn’t want to leave Kit so Tina promised they could go back to Kit’s house later for dinner. She anticipated Angie might want to spend the night with Kit, so she’d texted Bette. She didn’t know what time Bette might call but she hoped to hear from her soon.

After lunch Tina and Angie spent a little time at the park then they finished their grocery shopping picked out some movies at the video store and headed home. They put away the groceries including the ice cream. Set the movies next to the DVD player in anticipation of movie night the following evening then they showered and dressed for dinner.

It was just informal at Kit’s house so they both dressed in comfortable jeans and long sleeved shirts. Tina threw an overnight bag for Angie in the trunk of her car just in case. She really wanted Angie home with her especially when Bette called but considering how she was the night before spending some time with Kit might be good for her.
