    When they entered the classroom they found the professor standing in front of the black board, studying an elaborate mathematical formula scribbled on it. He looked very pensive and Tina wasn’t sure if they should announce their presence and disturb his thinking process. The decision was made for her when the floor squeaked under their feet and in the silence of the classroom it sounded very loud and ominous.

    Professor Kroll quickly turned around and they could clearly see a relief in his eyes when he recognized Alice. This guy is so totally paranoid, Tina thought, fighting the urge not to laugh.

    “You scared the bejesus out of me, Ms. Pieszecki.” He wiped sweat off his forehead and added nervously, “Please, shut the door and try to stay quiet. I don’t want anyone to know we are having a meeting here.”

    “Is he for real?” Tina whispered to Alice as they locked the door from the inside.

    “Yep.” Alice nodded. “Trust no one is his motto.”

    “And you are?” the professor asked with wariness, looking at Tina.

    “Oh I’m sorry, Professor Kroll. This is my friend, Tina Kennard.”

    “How long do you know her?”

    “Oh, how long, Tina?” Alice looked at her friend, calculating in her head.

    “Going on ten years, I think.”

    “And what do you do, Ms. Kennard?”

    “I’m a documentary filmmaker, working at the Alphaville Studios,” Tina answered, feeling unnerved by all the questioning.

    “Do you have any documents to prove that you are who you say you are?”

    Tina rolled her eyes at that demand but Alice whispered quickly. “Just show it to him, Tina.”

    While Tina was getting her driving license inspected, Alice discreetly took a photo of the board with her iPhone. She hid it right away, making sure that the professor didn’t see it or there would be no revelations tonight. She knew Professor Kroll was paranoid but the way he was questioning Tina was weird even for him.

    “Professor, you can trust us. The information that you have is very important and is a matter of life and death.”

    3. Omg everyone’s coming back to write again I see. I have you on my list of authors to read I haven’t been able to read all your chapters yet but man I so wished I read them already as I am dying to reading this post it seems so intriguing. Yes you`re back iv missed this story so much please don’t leave it to long for the next chapter loved it and so pleased Katie came through the birth it so simple those times if only they new to wash you hands and sterilise the medical tools just how many mothers and babies could have been saved pps.

    7. When I saw this post I went back to Chapter 1 and have now read the whole story to date. I have thoroughly enjoyed such a different concept written with familiar characters with humour and drama.
