Lady Slayer
Chapter 15
Bette awoke with the same smile gracing her lips that she had gone to sleep with. Very different from the state of mind that she had awoken the previous day, but that was gone now…
Now…, Tina filled her mind with the same intensity, only this morning it was with an altogether sensual ness that washed over her. She turned under the sheet covering her naked body, nestling her face into the pillow as a groan escaped her lips.
That kiss…, god that kiss…
To say it had been a difficult journey home would be an understatement, not only was her body tingly from ever nerve ending, but the words that Tina had said also reverberated throughout her.
‘It’s going to be so easy to fall in love with you…’ It wasn’t until the ride home that the words pounded through her, she could be modest and say that it had been said to her before…, but Tina whispering those words to her as they were pressed together against her front door…, the words had an altogether insurmountable difference in meaning. There had been emotion involved from the moment they met, and the words kept running through her mind.
‘I promise I won’t hurt you…’ the moment that she had turned to hear those words carried along the breeze, and before she could even contemplate a reply she had seen that Tina had closed the door.
The quick phone call when she had returned home had just been filled with breathy tones of ‘amazing evening’, ‘wonderful time’…, but no mentions of either sentence that Tina had uttered.
If it had been mentioned, Bette wasn’t even sure she would know how to reply, she still wasn’t, but there was something that she was sure of…, the words were said with such tenderness that she had no doubts whatsoever that Tina meant every word.
Tina woke with a smile to light the darkest sky, her body had been on fire when she closed the door to Bette the previous evening, a fire in which she could very easily had tended to herself, but she resisted, she resisted the physical urge that had come about from a kiss good night.

Uh oh… This is so good. Can we talk you into posting the other part tonight? Please??
Can ducks actually get their fill of free bread? Can a double whammy of anything really be relaxing? Seriously, I’d like you to tell us about Bette’s mother.
This was so beautiful, I know and understand that feeling of complete contentment, so peaceful. Thanks for this chapter and please quickly post the other part. PPS.
beautiful Jo… there is nothing else to say… but thank you
DUCKS! We have 2 ducks at work: Elvis, a muscovy duck, and Aflac, a domestic duck. They are quite amusing at times and definitely like bread and crack corn. Anyway, looking forward to the next chappy!
I could get really smug here and say see what my continuous bugging you gets me, but if I did that then you would probably just wait for awhile to post the next chapter. So all I will say with a big smile on my face is Thank You!
This is so touching, you always make me want to cry, but that’s ok…it’s worth it everytime I read one of these chapters from you. Thanks for putting your words out there for us!!! PPS
This is getting so good. I can not wait for more. Thank you PPS
Jo……You reveal a story w/excruciating detail and patience, never rushing. No one does that as well as you. PPasap.
Wow. Loved this part.. even though from the author’s note I could guess what was coming. Can’t wait for the next part. Bette is getting in deep with Tina.. and clearly can’t even fully recognize it if she thinks that they could go back to being just work colleagues and things would be totally cool. PPS.
Well, Jo, like Tina, I am overwhelmed.. by the beauty of your writing..that was magical
Bette is deep into Tina, their courtship seems to be going smoothly I hope it continues that way. PPS
That was awesome Jo. Love how Bette is taking it as slowly as she can with Tina. And our Ms. Tina she has figured out Bette so quickly. You can’t fight your destiny.
Wow, so peaceful, and inspirational. I would love to have been there just to see their faces and eyes and then to look at what they are seeing. I am trying my darnest to be last to comment. Am I getting close?
lovely…
That was great!
this is soooooooooo good! i hope read the other part soon!
I am just passing through and read this…but I had to reply to funnyone’s comments. I have been enjoying them in helebette’s fics, and this one made me laugh. Agreeing with her points, I also have to wonder how calm and serene anyplace could be with ducks and swans milling about..not to mention fighting over free bread. I’m surprised Tina didn’t hear them in their calmness and serenity before she got out of the car! I do wonder what the place looks like.
You see? As its been said, NEVER rushing, Jo. LOL
This does sound like I came in to make fun of the fic..I didn’t, really.
Oh, wow, I do remember when Bette first took Tina to that place ! In fact, this is a wonderful memory as “Do you remember when ?” used to be my favorite fic, all stories taken together ( but of course that was before “Lady Slayer” came to light ! ). Anyways, do you realize we need more of this now ? How did you dare split this part of the story into two chapters ?!!! Grrr !!! So frustrating ! As you can see, unlike Bette and Tina’s, my nerves are going crazy !! LOL ! Just kidding, of course. I’m not mad, it’s just that I’m so fond of this “oeuvre” of yours I can never get enough of it. You need to know, Jo, that for some of your readers, any update to this story – in fact, any post from you – is almost like Christmas, that’s why the waiting is absolutely unbearable. Please, don’t torture us. Especially since I sense some great drama coming along.
Reminds me of a place near where I grew up. Went to church camp there, went back for peace and serenity
Lovely!!!
Hey Jo, This is exactly why you are a class act on this site. Your stories are brimming over with love and emotions. The scene with Bette and Tina looking at Bette’s safe haven was astounding. You craft with such a light and lyrical touch. There is a real tenderness between Bette and Tina in your words. They connect on a primal level; instinct has brought and kept them together. Tina can cut through all of Bette’s defenses like a hot knife through butter while Bette intrigues and completes Tina like the last piece of a jigsaw puzzzle. Even the build up was perfet as Tina and Bette when to the Planet and checked in with the gals and then started their journey. Bette is at peace in Tina’s presence while TIna feels alive in Bette’s. More please. Many thanks for this entertaining and enthralling adventure. Your Loyal Fan.
Ahhhhh the temple, finally!!! LOL. Great post mate… your vulnerable Bette is so sweet and very loveable. More please :o))
