Alice:

Well, I’m just so loveable. People just flock to me. It’s a gift, really. (Alice flashes a wide toothy grin)

 

Tina:

You’re so lucky, you know. You’ll never be alone.

 (Tina is pensive for a moment, then takes a deep breath and turns to look Alice in the eye)


 

Tina:

Did she ever cheat on you?

Alice:

What? (choking on her half exhaled hit)

Oh, Lordy…look, Tina…what I had with Bette was nothing like what you and Bette have together?

Tina:

Alice, yes or no.

Alice:

Okay, no. But we were never really exclusive, at least I wasn’t. I mean, there were no matching rings in the cards for us (chuckles uncomfortably).


 

(Tina nods, then looks down and begins rubbing her naked ring finger)


 

Alice:

Tina…where is your ring?

(Tina mumbles something unintelligible)


 

Alice:

(gently) Tina, where is it?

Tina:

I threw it.

Alice:

Threw it where?

Tina:

At Bette…

Alice:

Oh, my God.

Tina:

Then I threw our wedding picture at her. Then I left.

(Alice is wide-eyed and gaping-mouthed at this point)


 

(Tina reads Alice’s expression, then looks ashamed of herself)


 

Tina:

I know…but it felt really good when I did it.

Alice:

What did she do to set you off like that?

Tina:

You gonna pass that?

Alice:

Oh…*****…yeah…here you go.

Tina:

(relights joint and takes a hit)

(Covers her face with her hands)

Tina:

(sits up quickly)

Bette:
