“Er… Tina, you have to sit up, I’m not done”

“Bette, the room is spinning around”

Bette stood up and positioned herself so that Tina’s legs were between hers. She reached out her hands for Tina to take them

“Tina, Tina.. take my hands and I’ll pull you up, ok?

“ok”

Tina took Bette’s hands and Bette pulled her up. But Tina let go of Bette’s hands and Btte, trying to grab them back lost her balance and ended up on top of Tina’s body. Bette felt an electric jolt when she felt Tina’s nipples(ehich were 100% exposed) so close to hers, separated only by Bette’s shirt and jacket, since Bette still hadn’t taken her jacket off. Hearing her own moan, made Bette go back to reality.

“Um… Tina, sorry”She said nervously as she got off of Tina and sat next to her. “Why don’t you sit so I can finish?”Said Bette looking everywhere but at Tina

“OK”said Tina tiredly. She really was tired and wanted to sleep

Bette buttons it up. “There you go, you’re all set”

“Thanks”

“You’re welcome. Now, let’s eat, ok?”

“But I’m not hungry”

“Well, at least drink the apple juice, please?”Tina just nodded and drank the juice Bette handed her

“Good, now you shoud get some sleep”

Bette pulled the covers for Tina and tucked her in her bed. It was then that today’s events crashed against the great amount of alcohol she had consumed. On the night table there was a picture of Eric holding Tina in a park or something like that. All the happy and bad memories came and the final memories too, she remembered Eric yelling at The Planet and all that had happened earlier. A single tear fell, soon followed by a cascade of silent tears which fell freely. Bette stood next to Tina’s side and Tina threw her arms around Bette’s waist and held her as tightly as she could making Bette stumble. Bette put her hands on Tina’s trying to release herself

“Tina, wait a second. I’ll be right back, I promise”

“Noooooo! Don’t leave! please!” Begged Tina as the alcohol was making things harder for her

“OK, OK…But, anyway, let go off me and I’ll climb in the bed with you, ok?”

“You’re not leaving?” Asked Tina

“Never. I promise” said Bette with a loving smile

Tina let go off Bette and Bette, as promised climbed in. Tina was still sobbing.

“Come here”instructed Bette softly opening her arms

Tina didn’t need to be asked twice. She buried herself into her chest and continued crying. She cried for what she had lost becuse of her feelings, feelings for a woman, nonetheless. Feelings that might not be real. Was she going to risk everything she still had?

Again, Bette was stroking her hair and telling her everything would be fine while holding her tight. After some minutes, Tina finally fell asleep in Bette’s embrace. It was late night but Bette didn’t allow herself to sleep. She stayed awake watching Tina sleep. This was fine, it was where she felt she should be. Strange, how she got here. But still, she wanted to be here. She asked to herself how come she preferred being here to any other thing in the world. She continued watching her while singing songs in her head.
