“Alani (Alice) come?” Signaling for her to stop what she was doing and to sit across from her she pulls out the stool next to her. Alice sensing the seriousness in her tone does as she was told.

“Selene used you to direct her anger towards as she could not direct it at Jaeil.”

“I do not follow.”

“Her anger exhumed only when Jaeil returned your gaze, she felt threatened.”

After traveling the majority of the night the mood between Tina and Kit had shifted greatly. Tina had no words to justify her erratic behavior and felt remaining silent would serve best. Kit, although she was in a more talkative mood knew the moment an opportunity presented itself she would discuss the secretive contents of the letters. They were less than one day away from arriving in Nephelé, setting up camp for the night they both found warmth from the blazing fire before them.
