Let It Go
Yeah we can get going also. Bette said. With that they all got up to leave. Quite a contrast. Tina and Alice in smart suites, Dana in yuppie striped Nike sweats and a golf shirt, and Bette in a T tank and bibbed overalls with the left strap left undone hanging. Tina and Bette held hands as they walked out and once in the parking lot stopped to kiss each other good bye and wish each other a good day. In contrast Dana and Alice gave each other a quick peck which seemed pressed and turned away.
Hey Dana why dont you let me drive, Ive got the roof down and well, its so nice I thought we could enjoy the ride. Bette says with an infectious smile which brought out the first smile of the day for Dana.
Sure that sounds good. Dana said jumping in and fastening her seat belt.
Off they went Bette driving and Dana just riding. Bette navigated their way to the LA Zoo. The whole trip took about an hour and with the wind rushing through their hair neither could talk much as they rode in a comfortable silence. Arriving at the Zoo, Bette jumped out of the car and popped the trunk. Walking around she pulled out a large sketching pad with a set of sharp pencils. Closing the trunk, Bette walked around to the passenger side of the car and approached Dana.
I thought we would go in and find a few spots that I could get your impressions of the animals as I try to sketch them. I know this seems vague to you but believe me this will help me with what Im trying to accomplish. Again thanks Dana for taking the time out of your day to help me out. Bette instructs Dana.
As they enter the zoo, Bette goes straight to the posted map to figure out what was where. From the looks of it she realized she was going to have to get Dana all the way to the back of the zoo. Just her luck, well as least Dana was game. Off they went Bette and Dana strolling through the zoo. After they passed through the entrance, Bette bears to the left passing by the childrens train and the swans.
Dana hows the tennis going for you? Bette started the conversation off trying to get Dana to talk while they were walking.
