The sun was just setting as Helena, Bette, Alice and Shane entered Helena’s London apartment. Alice immediately began to look around, stopping to take in the gorgeous sunset from the living room window.
“This is great, Helena. I think this must be your first apartment decorated without a fat bank account and a team of consultants?” Alice’s voice was teasing, but she genuinely was proud of what her friend had done with the place.
Shane nodded appreciatively. “I like it. It says home. It has a good vibe, and the sketches on the walls are beautiful. Who did these?” Shane wandered over, her hands in her pockets, admiring the drawings on the walls. Helena was opening a bottle of wine, but walked over to draw Shane’s attention away.
“They’re not much. I did them, but it was just on a whim. They’re not very good.” Helena was blushing and smiling shyly. She led Shane away by putting her arms around the thin woman’s shoulders and leading her to the best seat in the house. She insisted that they all relax and allow her to serve them. It made her happy to entertain and it made her even happier to do so in her new place, a home she thought she’s be alone in for quite some time.
Bette made a mental note to check out Helena’s drawings herself later, after exchanging glances with Shane and Alice.
As they chatted and ate, they avoided the tiresome subject of Helena’s exile. It was an obvious fact of Helena’s existence and it was not necessary to beat it like a dead horse. Unfortunately, it was also bringing up older issues for Helena, which they did end up discussing.
Bette sat back and looked carefully at Helena for a long time, while Shane spoke to them all about her relationship with Paige. It wasn’t that Shane’s life wasn’t interesting to Bette, it was just that Bette was starting to realize some things about Helena that she had never known before. She didn’t mean to interrupt Shane, but she did, when she asked,
“Helena, remember when you first met me? Why were you so mean to me? I mean instantly, on the spot, mean?”

A thousand thanks for this cold-shower installment in your bewitching saga. Even if IC were planning to take the Belena train (and sadly she doesn’t appear so inclined), she would be hard pressed to top this delicious action.
Excellent as always. And yes they do need to talk, and hopfully listen as well.It also good to see that Helena has finally got a handle on what she searching for and I hope she gets it. Taking it slow is always a good thing between these two. And with the help of their friends and a little communication with each other they seem to be on the right track.

WOW, just amazing. So Bette and Helena found each other and had a really good time, but now they have to deal w/ working out the type of realtionship they want to have. I think Bette has every right to be jealous that Helena was sleeping w/ multiple people while in London. Bette hasn’t been w/ anyone but Jodi and Hels is sleeping all around. I just hope they can work things out and get bacl to the lovin. Talk about smokin hot sex…..HOT!!! PPS.

Should be interesting to see how Shane and Alice view what Bette has to tell them. It’s a big step but it needs to be taken. I’m liking this thoughtful Helena who wants to take this slowly.
