Chapter 12

Tina, Carlton and Carlisa arrive at Bette the next day.  Tina was dropping off Carlton and Carlissa for their mother while picking up Angelica.  She was still a little nervous about traveling on her own and was glad that Carlton and Carlissa was with her.  Carol had assured her that she would not have any problems with Henry.   Now her next hurdle was meeting with Bette.  She was still in love with her but did not feel that she had the right to be with her since all the things that she put her through.  She should have been honest with herself to begin.  She has always been in love with Bette but she had not forgiven her when she moved back in with her.  Bette was making great strides to get her life together by seeing a therapist; I should have been going to see a therapist also.  After Bette lost her job, this changed our plans or rather my plans I wanted to be the stay at home parent.  I did not take in account how losing her job would affect her.  I ended up with Henry who abused me on a regular basic and almost abused our daughter.  Bette never hit me, even after that awful night when I struck her, bit her she never hit me back.  I never told her about my pregnancy she had to find out through a third party.  She has always tried to take care of me, paying for my apartment, health insurance.  Even becoming so humble allowing me to make all of the decisions about everything.  I complained about every dime she spent; she never questions my spending when she was the primary wage earner. 

Carol found Tina deep in thought when she answered the door for her and her kids.  Hey Tina, —-Tina            

Tina-Hi Carol, I’m sorry, I was just thinking.                                                    

Carol- yeah you were deep in thought.  Well your daughter is in there having the time of her life.  Thanks for bringing the kids over, I have lot of paperwork to complete for the company.  I am going to rest up, the twins, Martin and my assistant will flying in a couple of days.  Bette was able to rent house for the summer for us a couple of blocks over.  I be seeing you okay.
