Tina- I know that I have not always been your favorite person and you might not have been my favorite person, put I just want to thank you for                                                                                 

Carol-Hey Tina regards of what you and Bette thought, I never had a problem with you, and no thanks are necessary-you are and always will be family-that’s what family do-take care of each other and have each other backs-you know MaDear raised me, family is everything-I was pleased to know that you had already started the process so Bette could adopt her little girl. 

Tina just reaches up and hugs Carol; “You Porters are really something”

Carol-And you know this, I’ll see you around.  I think Princess Jelica would like to see her mom.  Carol calls out “Carlton and Carlissa come on guys lets get going.”

Carlton and Carlissa comes out-See ya Cousin Bette, bye Jelica. They leave with their mother.

Tina walks into the house calling out Hello.  Angelica hears her mother and begins to run out calling Mama, Mama and runs into her mother’s outstretched arms.  Tina picks up her daughter, hugs her “did you miss mama”.  Angelica smiles and nods her head, “had fun with mombee.

At this time Bette walks into the room, she and Tina just stare at each other.

Tina-Hey

Tina-Well I guess we will be going I came by to pick Angie up, Carol told me I shouldn’t have any more problems with Henry.  I guess we be seeing you.

Bette-Tina you and Angelica will be staying here. 

Tina-Do you think that will be necessary, Carol said that Henry                   

Bette-You both will be staying here.  Shane and Alice are over at the apartment now while the movers are packing your stuff.  They should be here by this afternoon.  Tina this is not open for discussion. 

Tina-Okay (thinking-this is the old Alpha Bette-take charge I missed this Bette).

Bette-Okay (thinking-no argument- I should put my foot down a long time ago; maybe this Henry shit wouldn’t occurred).  Tina I didn’t know you had started the paperwork making me Jelica legal guardian as well as the adoption paperwork.

Tina-If anything had happen to me, I wanted Angelica to be with her other parent. Tina’s eyes begin to welled up with tears

Bette-oh Tee, he is never hurt you or Jelica again.  Bette reaches over and hugs her and Angelica.  Tina actually feels safe for the first time in ages. 

Bette (thinking this feels so right, we will be a family again).
