YeahIm leaving early today. Do you want me to pick up Liz and take her to your moms?

Tina ran into the room and kissed Bette goodbye before running around the house making sure she had everything for her presentation today. Bette laughed at Tinas frazzled behavior but she had to admit, she didnt know how Tina could do it. Tina seemed to be able to manage having a full time and very demanding job, take care of Liz, and still make their marriage as fun and loving as it used to be before Liz was born. To Bette she seemed like a superwoman and Bette thanked God every day that Tina was still in her life and that they finally had their family. Liz had just celebrated her second birthday and Bette couldnt believe how fast it was all going. She remembered the day Liz was born and she could recall the emotion and happiness she felt when she saw Tina hold her for the first time like it was yesterday. Bette never considered herself a very domesticated person, but after having a child, she quickly learned a few tricks of the trade. In the beginning it had been rough on both her and Tina since their lives had to be completely adjusted to Lizs schedule and Bette often found herself taking a nap in the middle of the day, something she never used to need to do. But over time her and Tina learned to adjust to Lizs sleeping patterns and they learned her different types of cries and Bette was amazed at how soothing both her and Tina could be to Liz. After two months Bette had to return to work and at first she was constantly worried about Tina and Liz and she would call them all the time to make sure everything was okay, but after about a month or so, Bette learned that Tina had everything totally under control and she didnt have to worry as much. She did make it home every night before seven oclock though and she knew Tina appreciated her efforts to be around as much as possible to help out with whatever needed to be done. Bette loved Liz more than anything and she would sometimes just sit in the nursery and watch her sleep as tears of happiness formed in her eyes. Liz had taken a liking to Bette as well and Tina would tease Bette that as she got older they needed to decide who would be the nice parent and who would be the mean one. Bette had just looked at her with puppy dog eyes and Tina laughed and said okay fine she could be the nice one. They laughed about this since they both knew when it came down to it Tina was much more maternal and nurturing than Bette was and Bette had a good feeling that when Liz got older, she would be the disciplinarian in the house.

When Liz turned one Bette swore she would have never seen this day if it hadnt been for Tinas forgiving heart and that night she made love to Tina like it would be the last time they ever saw each other. Bette smiled as she recalled how loved and secure she felt at that moment and she knew that Tina felt it too. Their ***** life had been put on hold for the first six months of Lizs life because both Bette and Tina were too worn out to even try and make love, but after they got adjusted to their new sleeping schedules, they found themselves falling back into the same insatiable routine as before. It wasnt like they couldnt keep their hands off of each other, but whenever they knew they would have time, they always took advantage of it and tended to each others needs. At first Bette had been a little hesitant about having ***** with Liz in the house but Tina assured her that Liz was already well versed in their sexual ways since she was carrying her when Bette used to practically ravage her and she also pointed out that Liz couldnt walk anywhere and she couldnt get out of her crib so it wasnt like they would be interrupted. Bette gave in and admitted Tina made a good point and since then she hadnt had an issue with making love to Tina with the door open and the nursery door open across the hall, just in case. When Liz started walking they had to learn to be a little more cautious since one time Liz walked in to the bathroom when Bette was about to start undressing Tina and Bette had been so embarrassed and weirded out by Liz almost catching them that she didnt even touch Tina for a whole month leaving Tina in a very irritable mood. Bette laughed when she remembered how Tina had finally had enough of Bette not being willing to engage with Liz in the house that she called her mom and asked her to pick up Liz for a few hours so that they could have some quiet time. Bette had been so embarrassed when Nancy picked up Liz that she didnt even come out of the bedroom and she laughed when she remembered how quickly Tina pounced on her once they were alone. Bette put a lock on their door the next day and since then they had managed to time it right when Liz was sleeping and they hadnt been interrupted since.

As if she knew Bette was thinking about her, Liz waltzed into the bedroom at that exact moment. Bette smiled at her daughter and Liz ran over and jumped on the bed and flung herself on to Bettes back and wrapped her arms around her shoulders. Bette laughed at her daughters playful ways and she looked at her for a moment just enjoying the sight of the little person in front of her. In Bettes opinion Liz was gorgeous and she had told Tina that when Liz grew up she would definitely turn some heads, and Tina laughed and made a joke about Bette being a pervert for even thinking that, but she had to agree that her daughter was a cutie. Liz had big dark brown eyes that one could lose themselves in so easily as they were so intense and knowing, like she was too wise for her age, and Bette often found herself unknowingly having staring contests with Liz who thought it was all a game whenever Bette would just watch her playing or lying down for a nap. Liz had Tinas smile and her nose and Bette loved the fact that Liz looked so much like Tina and she was hoped that Liz would turn out just as sweet and charming as Tina was too. The only thing about Liz that didnt resemble Tina was her hair and skin tone. She had thick dark brown hair that was straight as an arrow and hung about half way down her back, and she had slightly darker skin than Tina but it was still significantly lighter than Bettes and Tina had told Bette that Liz was as close to reality that they would get if the two of them were actually able to conceive a child. Liz was adorable and Bette often found herself unable to get mad at Liz when she did something wrong because she would pout a little and look up at Bette with the same sad eyes that Tina would make when she wanted something and Bette would just laugh and let Liz have her way. Liz had also learned that when she smiled sweetly at Bette that she could usually get whatever she wanted as well and Tina would often tell Bette that she better watch out or in a few years she would be in big trouble. Bette would just shake her head no and that she had everything under control, but inside she knew it was a lie. She was whipped by this little bundle of joy and it warmed her heart to know that Liz was her child.

Tina came in the room at that moment and after kissing Bette goodbye she picked up Liz and headed out the door. Bette finished getting dressed and headed out the door as she glanced at her watch and saw that she would also be late. When Tina first went back to work she had a hard time leaving Liz alone and for a few weeks Nancy had volunteered to watch Liz, but she needed to work as well so Tina and Bette asked around and Oscar recommended a great day care place and after checking it out thoroughly, they decided to start taking Liz there four days a week. Nancy only worked part time and since she had Fridays off she gladly watched her granddaughter and when she couldnt, Alice volunteered to baby sit as well. Alice had grown very fond of Liz and she loved spending time with her as well. All of their friends had been great in supporting Bette and Tina and helping them out whenever they could, which usually meant babysitting so Bette and Tina could have some alone time, but nevertheless, they always jumped at the chance to watch Liz and all of them loved her as if she were theirs instead. Bette had been the most surprised by Shanes fondness of Liz and one time Bette caught Shane reading something to Liz, back when Liz was an infant, and for some reason the sight of those two touched Bettes heart and she held onto that memory to this day. Bette knew someday Shane would make a great parent and she was honored to have Shane be a part of Lizs life.

At five oclock Bette headed to the day care to pick up Liz and take her to Tinas moms house so that her and Tina could have their double date with Dana and Alice. Those two had become quite the successful couple and even after three years they were still going strong and Bette was so glad that they finally had that someone special in their life. Bette walked into the day care center and looked around for Liz and when she spotted her a big grin spread across her face.

Liz ran over to Bette who bent down and scooped her up quickly as the nanny on duty came over and greeted Bette with a smile.

Hi Bette.

Hey Susan. How was she today?

Great. Werent you Liz?

Yep.

Bette and Susan laughed at Lizs answer and after gathering Lizs things Bette headed out of the day care with Liz in her arms. She put everything in the trunk and got Liz settled in her car seat, yes Bette still drove the Saab but nowadays she rarely took the top down and the back seat on the passengers side was permanently occupied by Lizs car seat, and they headed to Santa Monica to grandmas house. Forty minutes later Bette was pulling up in front of Nancy Kennards house. She got Liz out of her seat and grabbed the bag of Lizs things from the trunk before heading up to the door. She rang the door and after a few seconds the door opened and Nancy greeted them with a big smile.

Hey Bette come on in. Let me see my granddaughter.

Bette put Liz down and Liz immediately lifted her arms so that Nancy could pick her up as Bette laughed and followed them into the living room. Nancy laughed with Liz about something before putting her down and her and Bette watched Liz head straight for the box of books and toys that Nancy had in her house. Nancy offered Bette some coffee but Bette declined saying that she had to get going since she had to shower before meeting Tina and their friends. Nancy didnt object and as she picked up Liz again before walking Bette to the door.

Bette blushed again at Nancys offer but she said they would probably be by around nine to pick her up since Tina had made an early doctors appointment for the following morning and it was closer to leave from their house than from Nancys. Nancy and Liz waived at Bette as she drove back to her house and after showering quickly she put on a pair of white dress slacks with a burgundy sleeveless top and applied a little bit of make up before blow drying her hair straight and heading out the door to meet her wife and her friends. She got to the restaurant at the same time as Tina who smiled after looking her up and down. Bette grinned at Tina and kissed her lightly on the lips before taking her hand and leading her into the restaurant. Alice and Dana were already seated and when Tina and Bette walked up to them they were talking softly and Tina smiled at Bette as she motioned with her chin to Bette who looked at them and returned the smile before loudly clearing her throat and announcing their arrival. Alice and Dana quickly looked up and Tina couldnt help but tease them a little at their flustered appearance. Dinner went by in a flash as they were having so much fun and Tina reluctantly looked at her watch and told Bette they should go and pick up Liz so they could get some sleep tonight. Alice and Dana complained that they were like an old married couple and after pointing out that Bette had just turned forty and they were an old married couple now Tina kissed Alice and Dana goodbye and headed out of the restaurant with Bette in tow. They dropped Tinas car off at home before heading to Nancys to pick up Liz for the night. On the way there Bette looked at Tina with a small smile on her face.

Baby do you think we act like an old married couple?

Nonot unless you count the times when we fall asleep before tenthen maybe.

Bette laughed as they got off the freeway and she turned to Tina with one more question.

Do you think Im getting too old?

No babenot at allwhy?

I dont know. I mean Im forty alreadysoon Ill need a walker and dentures.

Tina leaned over and gently ran her fingertips over Bettes cheek.

Well if you are old then I love old because I love you.

Bette just smiled at her as they pulled up to Nancys house. They got out and after visiting with her for a few minutes Tina carried a sleeping Liz to the car and gently put her in the car seat without waking her up. Twenty minutes later they had tucked Liz into bed and after making sure she was sound asleep Tina walked back into the bedroom to find Bette changing for bed. Tina went over and ran her fingertips along Bettes spine causing her to shiver a little. Bette turned around with a smile on her face and Tina leaned in and kissed her softly at first then let her tongue make its way into Bettes mouth causing Bette to moan softly into the kiss. Tina pulled Bette towards her as she walked backwards to the bed and sat down when she felt the bed hit the back of her knees. Bette smiled and threw the shirt she was about to put on aside as she undressed Tina and let her slide up the bed a little before kneeling down and playfully licking and biting the inside of Tinas thighs.

Bette grinned up at her wickedly as she pulled Tinas underwear off and ran the tip of her tongue over Tinas opening. Tinas hips jerked at the sensation and Bette laughed softly to herself as she took Tinas swollen ***** into her mouth. Bette sucked forcefully on it causing Tina to writhe and moan on the bed and she ran her hands through Bettes hair begging her to continue. Bette used one hand to hold Tinas hips down while the other hand gently entered her and Tina let out a loud moan when Bette rubbed her g-spot. Bette stopped what she was doing for a second and Tina looked down at her with lust in her eyes.

Bette just smiled as she lowered her head and resumed her torture on Tinas lower extremities and Tina moaned again when Bette returned her fingers to where they were before she stopped. Bette was stroking Tina at a furious pace and Tina was rocking her hips in time with Bettes hand as she whimpered softer and finally bit down on the back of her hand to stifle her cries when Bette felt Tinas muscles contract hard over her fingers. Bette continued to lap at Tinas opening and she quickly licked up as much of Tinas juices as possible causing Tina to wiggle a little at this sensation.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Tina laughed at Bettes flustered whisper and she had to take a second and gather herself before finding her robe and throwing it on as she opened the door to find Liz standing there rubbing her eyes as she tried to wake up. Tina smiled lovingly down at her and picked her up before whispering to her.

Baby whats wrong?

I cant sleep mommy.

Oh okay baby. Do you want me to tuck you back in?

No.

Tina smiled and walked back to the bed still holding Liz who had put her head down on Tinas shoulder the moment she picked her up. Bette had put her robe on as well and she went over and sat next to Tina as she rubbed Lizs back gently.

Do you want to sleep in here tonight?

Bette!

Bette just looked from Lizs half awake face to Tinas flustered one and she smiled at Liz before taking her from Tina and lying her down in the middle of the bed. Liz immediately found a comfortable position and fell asleep again and after Bette pulled the covers up around her she went back and looked down at Tina.

One night babyits not that big of a deal.

Both women dug up some pajamas and threw them on before shutting off the lights and climbing into bed on either side of Liz who had started snoring softly. Tina giggled at Lizs snoring and Bette just smiled as she settled down next to them and closed her eyes. She felt Liz snuggle into her and she sighed happily as she drifted off to sleep knowing that her family was healthy and going strong and Bette wondered how many more nights would end like this one.
