“In that case I am glad we they finished the room upstairs last week.” Tina said.

“Yeah now you all can stay and be here when Santa comes.” Jess said.

“Yeah It will be one big party with gifts.” Bette said. It took awhile but eventually every one agreed to camp out in Jess’s new room on Christmas eve.

Christmas Eve

“Mom can we please open one present tonight, please.” Jess begged Bette.

“What did Tina say” Bette asked. Jess thought for a moment.

“She said it was up to you.” Jess said.

“No I didn’t I told you that you would have to wait in the morning.” Tina said.

“Uhh” Jess said poking out her lower lip.

“Jess come here we got the train working.” Ryan called from the living room. Jess ran into the other room where Alice and Kit sat on the couch talking. Ryan and Chris on the floor with Tucker and the train. Jess sat on the floor next to Tucker.

“Cool how did you get it to work?” Jess asked.

“I cleaned the battery contacts.” Chris said.

“Okay Jess we talked it over you can open one present when everyone gets here.” Tina said.

“Yay, When is everyone getting here?” Jess asked.

“At 8:00″ Bette said.

“How long is that?” Jess asked.

“10 minutes.” Bette said. “if they aren’t late.”

“Why don’t we go get ready for bed so that you wont have to do it later.” Tina said

“Okay” Jess said.

“Alice is Lilly coming over?” Bette asked.

“Yeah she should be here any minute.” Alice said drinking her eggnog.

“So you guys are getting pretty serious huh.” Kit said.

“Yeah I guess so.” Alice said. There was a knock at the door. Mimi and Ivy walked in.

“Happy Holidays.” They said giving everybody hugs. Bette fixed them some eggnog. Jess and Tina walked back in the room.

“Hey kiddo don’t you look cute in your Christmas pjs.” Ivy said. Jess smiled at her.

KNOCK KNOCK

Alice jumped up to answer the door. She gave Lilly a kiss.

“Merry Christmas everyone” She said.

“Hey Coach Lilly.” Jess said playing with the train. She was building a bridge for the train to go under.
