Previously:
"You have lived in this family since it’s conception you have seen it change for the better and the worse. If you could change it in any way what would it be and why?"
Jess looked from Shannon to the latest family picture that was sitting on the table next to her. She picked it up and held it in her lap. She smiled at it. A tear ran down her cheek. She looked up at Shannon.
"I wouldn’t change it in any way. It’s perfect just the way it is. I love it."
After Thanksgiving the house grew very quiet. With Shannon back at school until Christmas, the boys involved in after school activities, and, Bette and Tina both working hard Jess found herself in the silence. She and Laurie were taking full advantage. Jess still went to see Dr. Julia three times a week. She was finding meditation very helpful. She awaited the final cut of Shannon’s project.
School
Jess sat in the Head Master’s office.
"It has been brought to my attention that you have cut 10 of the last 13 days and the 3 days you were here you were partially out of uniform." Mrs. Kinton said.
"Well if you let me get my work for next semester I would have a reason to come." Jess said.
"I don’t think so. My predecessor was very free. He allowed special treatment for the athletes here. That is going to stop. From now on you will report to my office at the first bell. We have two weeks before we get out for Christmas break and you will be here all of those two weeks. Here I want you to pick a book in the library read it when you are finished I want you to write a 10 page research paper on it. You have the two weeks. If you don’t you will not pass for the semester." Mrs. Kinton said.
"You can’t." Jess argued looking at her with doubt.
"I can. As for the uniform situation. I agree with you on your stance that uniforms restrict creative expression however the board says that all students have to where them. It is out of my hands. So you have to wear it." She said.

Bette is not going to like this and I have a feeling Jess will be getting a talking to as well. You can’t tell your much youger brother things you did when you where their age especialy when they look up to you like Teddy does Jess. Great chapter looking forward to the next

wow i’ve been reading for 4 hrs getting caught up–great story there aren’t enough words for these chapters that i’ve read tonight-fantastic each one-made me realize i need to reach out to my girls eventho their both married and live close- thanks for that wake up call–please keep writing you are very very good at expressing yourself i really love this story love b and t rules that they use in raising the kids could of used some of them myself write soon
Love this story and both of them are gonna be in trouble, I’ll bet. Jess just can not tell them the things she did because they will emulate her, because they love her and thinks she is cool. Mama B will be on the warpath now. Lots of fun.
