    Life Without Jenny (chapter 14)

“But I didn’t kill her!” Kit cried.

“You overdosed her, Kit, and her body was weakened she was killed when Dylan hit her with the pipe,” Helena explained, “it was the drugs that caused her death.”

    “W-what?” Kit gasped, “no! I didn’t mean to! I-I…”

“We’re not gonna tell anyone,” Shane said, “we expect you to turn yourself in.”

“She won’t fucking do it,” I snapped, “because she never fucking thinks things through! I will never forgive you for this, Katherine Porter.”

Before Shane could hold me down, I slipped free and ran out of the bar. I ran into my car and sped off ignoring the sounds of Shane, Helena, and Kit’s voices calling my name. I couldn’t go home and face Tina when I felt responsible for Jenny’s murder. Kit did it for me, so Jenny died because of me. How can I look at my other half and expect her to love me the same? I stopped the car abruptly and stumbled out in tears. I ran into the first open bar I could find and went straight to the bartender.

“Give me something that will fuck me up!” I cried sitting down on the stool.

“Rough night, eh?” he said in his Canadian accent, “the strongest thing I have is called Adios. Normally two will get someone pretty wasted.”

“Then give me 3,” I said.

The bartender’s eyes widened and he said, “you sure, eh?”

“Yes,” I said slapping the money down on the counter.

The bartender shrugged and served me the three blue drinks before taking the money.

“You wanna talk?” he said kindly.

“No,” I said taking my drink like a shot.

“Slow down, you don’t want alcohol poisoning, eh?” he urged.

The one drink had already started to make me woozy but I drank the second one without hesitation. “My sister never thinks things through,” I wept as the second drink hit my system like a ton of bricks. I couldn’t keep on speaking because the room was starting to spin.

“My brother does that too,” he said touching my arm so he could slow down my chugging of the third drink.

“Well, my sister fucked me up!” I cried throwing down my last glass as I had no orientation at all, “give me another!”

“It doesn’t matter how bad your sister fucked up, it’s not worth you life,” the bartender said, “giving you a drink is like sending you to your grave.”

“You can say that shit again!” I cried pushing myself away from the bar only to fall like an idiot to the floor. I scrambled onto my feet and staggered out of the bar like Angelica was she was barely learning to walk.

    Angelica.

Oh what the fuck was I doing? How can I possibly think that Tina will love me any less when she had professed her love even more when I told her about my incident with Coleman. “You fucking idiot!” I screamed to myself as I stumbled to my car and got inside. I have to get home to Tina and apologize in every single way that I can and tell her that I love her with all my heart. I turned on the car and spun around without even looking. I sped down the streets towards my home. My vision was blurry and the lines of the road seemed to go in a curvy line.

I didn’t realize that I had been swerving into the opposite lane until I saw the bright headlights right in front of me. I shut my eyes tightly to brace myself and all I heard was the sound of glass breaking and tires screeching. Then there was pain…

    1. Bette why did you have to be so stupid now Tina and Angelica could be left without a partner and a mother. Hopefully Bette will be ok. As for Dylan I wonder is Helena will ever speak to her again of the horrific scene of the knife incident. That was indeed some twist

    2. Mercy not Bette, don’t let her die. I can’t believe Kit drugged jenny. We should have added you to the writing staff of the show. Very good chapter. Thanks.
