    Author Notes:

    It’s dinnertime with Shane, Carmen, Lara, Bette and a new friend of Shane’s; Papi takes another familiar face in the limo, who has her own moment of reality afterwards.

    It’s what she has the most confidence in.  When all else fails, there is always her cooking.  Lara prepares the meal for all to eat in these early evening hours, as the living room is filled with the sounds of a video game being played by siblings, Shane and Shay.  Bette sits on the couch, feeding Angelica her juice while Carmen walks back to the kitchen to check on Lara.  She walks in and the meal still being prepared.

    Carmen: Need any help?

    Lara: No, I’m okay.  But thank you.

    Carmen nods.

    Lara: And…thanks for everything last night.

    Carmen grins, looking down as her mind races back to the evening prior.  Lara, letting out her emotions as Carmen is there with her, along with Bette and Shane.  Carmen stayed on the couch with Lara for the entire evening to make sure she was okay.  Flash to the present as Carmen walks up to Lara, near the stove.

    Carmen: I’m glad you finally let it out.

    Lara: It was embarrassing.

    Carmen: You shouldn’t be embarrassed, Lara.  You were with me…you were with us.  You were with friends.  Never be afraid to let go with us…or at least with me.

    Lara: …I’m still letting go.

    Carmen leans her head against Lara’s left shoulder and places her right hand against Lara’s back.

    Carmen: I know you are.  We all are.  I just want you to know you’re not alone.

    The sound of knocking is heard from the living room door.

    Carmen: I’ll let you get back to cooking.

    Carmen backs away and Lara smiles at her, continuing to concentrate on the task at hand.  Carmen ventures towards the front door.

    Carmen: I got it!

    Carmen makes her way to the door and opens it.  The sight is that of a lady with blonde hair and her son.

    Paige: Hi.  Um…I hope this is the right place.

    Shay: Jared!

    Jared: Hey, whatcha playin’?

    Shane: Come on in, guys!

    Jared walks in, past Carmen and over to his friend, Shay while Paige steps inside the house, still near the door as Carmen closes it.

    Paige: I’m Paige.

    Carmen: I’m Carmen.

    Shane: Glad you could make it, Paige.

    1. ‘Carmen: Yeah well it smells like you’ve been eating something else already today.’ Ewwwwwwww! LMAO That WAS pretty foul. I sense a triangle between Paige, Lara, and Carmen, and Shane will want to be with Carmen again, Bette will be hiding in the bushes taking pictures for a memory book for Angelica to chronicle the crazy lives of the gang. Everyone else will be at a support group meeting for supporting characters. Then they’ll all break into song and dance. PPS!

    2. O.K could it be Paige-Lara-Papi or Shane-Carmen-Papi or Lara-Carmen-Shane-Paige (Quadrangle). I’m thinking of all the possibilities. The group mingles well. Pps & put my crazy thoughts to rest. Luv the update.

    3. So the first connection has been made. At least they fit physically. So far Papi is just as gross as on the TLW, but I’m sure that will improve (I hope so anyway).

    4. wait, you’re into gorgeous tall chicks with long flowy hair hooking up, aren’t you? heheh. I like the idea of Lara and Paige too…darn you, so many possibilities! Keep up the drama, I’m lovin’ it.

    5. Mixing it up, Kace? I’m with Lamentamini for the triangle. But now Bette needs some one, please. And it can’t be Cherie. I’m sure she’s gonna make her way back to Shane. I can see the drama from a mile away. I still think any feelings Carmen or Laura have for one another are transference feelings. But we shall see. I’m not sure how Papi is going to fit in. She seems to have it bad for Carmen. I’m sure Shane will be quite jealous. Great job. Thanks.
