Deep down, she knew it was just an excuse to go over there. Not that Shay minded, of course. For Shay, it’s a sleepover at a friend’s house, but for the person who brought him by, it was a chance to have a conversation with Paige. And she’s been there for a little while, having shared in some dinner and a pleasant talk. Now seated next to each other on the couch, they relax while Shay and Jared hang out in Jared’s room.
Paige: Hopefully the meal wasn’t too bad.
Lara: No, it was great. I liked it.
Paige: Thank you. The boys seem to be calming down a little in their room. Getting closer to their bedtime.
Lara: I’m still impressed with all that energy they have, just skating.
Paige: Yeah. It’s amazing how popular it still is.
Lara: Reminds me of my middle school years. I used to be kind of a tomboy back then. I did a lot of skateboarding back then…God, it’s been years.
Paige: Wow, you skated?
Lara: I had this old Mark Gonzales board, too.
Paige: Why’d you stop?
Lara: I was more into reading cookbooks.
Lara chuckles for a second.
Lara: I was weird.
They exchange smiles.
Paige: That’s not weird at all. You just have a knack for it.
Lara: I’ve always had this driving passion to make the perfect meal. Cooked just right, presented just right…nothing wasted.
Paige: It’s good to have goals. You umm…from here?
Lara shakes her head.
Lara: I moved out here to get away from where I grew up. I had a…bad falling out with my family after I came out. I’m pretty sure some of my relatives are still convinced I’m going to burn in Hell just for being gay.
Paige: That’s a shame…
Lara rolls her eyes.
Lara: That’s life. I moved out here, because I figured I’d have a better chance at being around more open minded people. For the most part, that’s turned out to be true.
Paige: Well…you don’t have to worry about me being closed minded.
Lara: That’s good. It probably wouldn’t help to be homophobic if you’re going to be around me, Shane, Carmen or Bette.

Paige/Lara = cute, Carmen/Tasha = hot, Bette/Shane = O.oa Eh, maybe as a hook-up like that whole Lace (Lice! *ducks*) thing, just to deal with pain. Other than that I don’t have much to say. PPS!

Bette and Shane, this could work especially now that Shane has calmed down. I like Tasha and Carmen and Paige and Lara. Altlhough Lara and Carmen could be great also. That just leaves Papi? Love how Tasha keeps Papi under control.
I’ve decided that I won’t attempt to guess the pairings. But I will say that I enjoy this story and love how you’re writing it. Thanks Kace.
Yeah, probably like Lara and Paige better than Paige and Shane, to be honest… as for the others, I’m getting some sneaking suspicions of pairings… don’t want to say anything… but I have some ideas… Intriguing, Kace.
