Like you! Chapter 13

They were all talking and laughing when Dana said, “Well hello there!” They all turned to see a young, beautiful woman standing at the counter. “Who’s that?” Carmen asked. “I don’t know, never seen her before.” Shane said while she took a sip of her beer. “Well it’s time to get to know her.” Alice said as she got up and walked over to the girl. “Go get ‘em tiger!” Sarah said. They all laughed as Alice turned around and gave them the finger. They silently watched as Alice was making conversation with the girl. After 5 minutes she gave Alice a napkin. Alice walked back at the table and didn’t look too happy. As she passed Sarah she threw the napkin onto the table. “She wanted me to give you this.” She sat down and everybody was laughing. Sarah picked up the napkin and read it out loud, “Alex and her phone number.” “Way to go girl!” Shane said as she patted Sarah on the shoulder. “So what you gonna do with the number?” Carmen asked Sarah. “I don’t know. Maybe I’ll call her.” Bette and Tina looked at each other and then looked at Sarah. Sarah was looking at her aunts “What?” she asked. “You got to admit she’s beautiful!” she said. Bette and Tina kept staring at her. Finally Tina said, “I thought you were straight?” “So were you!” Sarah replied. Everyone laughed. “And besides I never said I was straight!” “You were in a relationship with a guy!” “And your point is?” “All right!” Alice said. “Finally someone that’s on my team.” She pointed at Sarah and said, “You and me are going to have so much fun!” Shane took a sip of her beer, but not before saying, “OH BOY!”

When they had arrived back home from the planet, Sarah went straight to her room. She was going to get comfortable in her room and trying to get some sleep, it was getting late. Her aunts had done their best to make it feel like home and she was grateful to them, but yet it felt like something was missing. I’ll be glad when I can have my own room, Sarah thought. Bette had arranged that they were going to work on it first thing next week and it would be finished by next month. Until then Angelica’s room would do.
