    Tina moves forward with her plans…

    Chapter 4

     

    Tina laid awake thinking through the pros and cons of her decision.  Her appointment with Dr. Wilson was Thursday and, if all worked out she would be ovulating on Friday and could do the insemination.

     

    Her life would change she knew.  Even though she already had a child, she shared Angie with Bette.  This wouldn’t be the case with the new baby.  She would truly be on her own.  Even with her friends who two years ago she felt she could have counted on for anything, she no longer had the confidence that she would be able to rely on them.  As big a mistake she made going to Henry, her friends’ treatment of her during that time was not something she would get over any time soon.  Alice was making a huge effort though and while Shane was still a friend, she had the malicious Jenny whispering in her ear. Tina felt though that they would be back on firm footing.  Helena was, however, someone she felt would always stick with her; Helena even told her as much. 

     

    Tina also had to deal with the fact that her sex life would definitely be put on hold.  Tina had surprised and disappointed herself over the past couple years with how much of a sexual being she had become.  Bette’s affair had been the catalyst and while at first her time with Helena and then Henry was a need to feel desirable, somewhere along the way she realized that the ability to just enjoy sex was within her.  Nothing compared to making love with Bette though. Probably because she and Bette only had sex a few times, the remainder was a sharing of souls.

     

    Tina sighed to herself as she wiped a tear away. “Fuck. Just move on already” she reprimanded herself.

     

    To be fair, she had moved on to a degree.  But for the most part, she had just moved away from Bette and Jodi.  In response to Bette’s prompting she ended up sleeping with Kate.  It was a fun distraction but Tina was always clear that her heart was not for the taking.

     

    In the end, she knew down deep that this was the direction in which she had to take her life.
