“Bette, jesus…I am such a dumb ass!”  Tina limped over to Bette and sat next to her.

“Tina, I tried to catch you, but we have tests and fuck, lets eat..I am starving.”  Bette kissed Tina lightly on the lips and stood up with her.

“Ok babe, just need to pee and I will be in.  Get me some juice with dinner?”  Tina sauntered off to do her thing and Bette heard a scream.  Bette dropped the food and ran in to Tina.

“What Tina, you alright?!”  Bette was freaking out.  Feared a cramp or worse..?

“Bette!!!!!!!”  Tina had tears in her eyes.

“We’re pregnant babe!”  Bette walked up to Tina and lifted her up in a hug.

“I love you Tina.  Oh, wow..a wedding and now a baby?!  Eh?  I thought we would have to do it a few more times.  Wow..good genes eh?”  Tina was still hugging Bette and couldn’t believe it herself.

“Bette are you ok?  You said you fainted..was someone here with you?” 

“I was fine Tina.  Shane, Alice, Dana, Lara, and Papi were here and they helped me up.  And they kind of know what is up, but I didn’t take a test, waited for you baby.  Can you believe it!?”  Bette was so excited she had no idea what to do, so she plastered kisses all over Tina.

“Forget dinner..I will have you instead babe.”  Tina shook her head at Bette.

“No babe, you need to eat..come on…oooo…hey!”  Tina was getting turned on, but knew she had to be strong to make sure her fiancé ate..!

“Bette no soccer!”  Bette shook her head

“Tina, I am fine for a few months..ok?  Let’s take this slowly.  I am fine.”  Bette knew that she would have to give up on hard training and well soccer too.  ‘Damn’ she thought ‘I was just getting good too!’

“I will make an appointment tomorrow with the doc and get it all cleared up ok?  I will play tonight and take it easy.  You Tina, cannot.  You are hobbling like you are so sore baby.  Next time please hydrate more and take the potassium pills that is what they are for.”  Bette looked concerned with Tina’s soreness, it isn’t good for athletes to be that sore after a tri.

“I think you should get checked out too Tina.  Just to make sure nothing is I don’t not functioning.  You have time before your shoot tomorrow?”  Tina looked up.

“Yea, I know it is bad huh?  I think I can squeeze some time.  Fuck, Dana and Lara and I have to go over rewrites tonight.”  Tina dreaded doing this because Lara came to distract, she was great at being the food person and art director consultant but Dana and her just flirted and goofed.

“Well, I need to hang out with Alice and Shane..and I suppose Papi too.  We will go do something after the game?  Lets eat..our game is in two hours.” 

The duo ate quickly and talked about baby and wedding plans.  There was more to plan and well, it wasn’t what they had expected to get pregnant so fast, but oh well.  It was happening and it was nuts.  They got ready for their game and all Bette could think of is, ‘Am I good enough to do this?  Strong enough?’  Tina looked at her bewildered fiancé.

“Babe, it will work out..and we will do it together.  I love you so much baby.” Tina put her forehead to Bette’s and kissed her softly on the nose.

“I know..I know..I am scared that is all.”  Bette just couldn’t believe that she was going to give birth and see their child..and not have to give the baby away..All was so exciting and just so new.  She knew if she talked to her friends that they would put her at ease and also Tina’s friends would ease some tension too.  What was next was just their lives as it was before, soccer, friends, and love.
