“Yes, that’s the one, and I am certain I did not describe her as a hottie to you.”
“Oh you don’t think she’s hot? I mean that’s why you called her right?” Tina daring Bette to lie.
‘I wish I could see her face right now. Her beautiful face. Damn you Bette.’
“She’s attractive, ok?” Bette wasn’t sure how to answer the question. She hoped Tina would move on.
“Proceed.” Tina said and Bette exhaled feeling a little relief, that she can go on with the story. She wants to clear the air before Tina’s trip in a few days.
“I met her at the club. We were dancing and I’m not going to lie, I was enjoying the attention she paid to me.” Bette said not sure if she should tell her just how dirty the dancing got.
“Were you wet?” Tina asked.
‘Shit.’
“Tina….” Bette whined. She really did not want to answer that.
“I guess I got my answer. So did you bring her back to your dorm?”
“No Tina.”
“Did you go to hers?”
“No Tina.”
“But you thought about it?”
“….Briefly, yes. I mean we were dancing and it got a little heated and I had a physical reaction to her, but I couldn’t take it beyond dancing.”
“You want a medal for doing some dirty dancing with someone who is not your girlfriend, contemplating cheating with her, but not actually going through with it?!” Tina yelled.
“No I……I don’t need a medal……I just need you T.” Bette replied softly as tears sprang to her eyes. How she wished the blonde was in her arms right now.
“You hurt me Bette.” Tina whispered.
“I know I did and I hate that I gave you any doubts about my love for you. Tina please give me another chance.”
“Who’s to say you won’t run to some chick the next time you feel a little lonely?” Tina asked with tears in her eyes now. She can’t stand the thought of losing Bette because of loneliness the brunette feels due to their distance.
“Tina, I was an idiot. I know that. I would hate to lose you over a stupid mistake. Please just except my sincere apology for making you feel you can’t trust me.”
“Why did you call her Bette?” Tina wanted to know.
“Tina I wish you were here right now. I miss you so much and I know I’m a jerk for scaring you. Can we agree to talk more about us when you come for you visit?”
“So are you saying we should talk about whether we want to stay together?”
“No T……I….I just think this is a heavy conversation, and while it’s my actions that brought it on, I’d like to finish it in person. I want to see your face and hold you if you let me……..Tina I’m so fucking sorry I hurt you. Please, can we just talk Friday night?” Bette said with the tears now flowing freely down her cheeks.
While Tina is still worried about the future of their union, she is sure that she doesn’t want to end it. She is starting to realize that the distance must be just as hard on Bette as it is on her, maybe even more so. Her girlfriend was used to going through women at will before they became a couple.
Tina’s anger has subsided considerably, but she knows they still need to talk.
“Ok……we’ll talk on Friday. I miss you too but please do not think you can flash that smile and all will be forgotten. You can not use sex to distract me from our discussion.”
“Of course not. Tina, I respect you too much to do that. Plus you would never let me get away with it.”
“Damn right.”
“Can I call you tomorrow?” Bette asked, hopeful.
“You never have to ask babe?”
“Are we ok T?” Bette asked still a little unsure.
“Yes we are. I think we are going to be ok Bette. You are right. We do need to have this conversation in person.”
“Goodnight T.”
“Goodnight babe.”
Both exhaled as they hung up. One relieved because her girlfriend did not screw some chick last night. The other happy that her girlfriend called her baby.

Thanks for the update…Tina needs to hold Bette responsible for her actions, even if she is lonely!! There are more appropriate things to do than call an old girlfriend and go out dancing!!!
Of course you don’t get medals for doing the right thing (not banging some random chick for Bette). But let’s give Bette some credit for knowing she was wrong and calling Tina to apologize and discuss what she had done. Tina is more mature than i realized; it’s good that she can see how hard it most be for Bette going from being with a girl every day to seeing her gf a couple times a year. Has Tina made a decision about school yet? I see te road getting a lot rockier if they wind up on 2 different campuses. Thanks for another great update, pps!

A mistake is something you make without any knowledge of consequences. Bette knew she was being a douche nozzle and yet proceeded to call and then get heated but not busy with the ho. She knew that what she did would hurt the girl she loves, that’s disrespecting Tina by far not using sex to distract her. Bette has no integrity and that’s one of the reasons why this LDR will never work. I’ve seen plenty of people in LDR’s but a douche like this Bette couldn’t even make it past the cab. This isn’t about Tina getting even, this is about her getting what she deserves; and right now, Bette is not it, even though you may think or feel that Bette deserves a second chance from Tina. I do appreciate your posts and you have Bravo style drama. Thank god it’s fiction. 😘
Bette allowed herself to be kissed, I did not understand if Tina is aware of this part? But as I understand it only took Bette aware of what he was doing when he read the message from Tina. Then the question, will be that she would not continue??!!. Bette can be used to be a player having women at will, but that does not justify, if Bette is feeling lack of affection and attention I believe Tina also is, more nor hence is falling in the arms of another woman. I love your story.PPS. —-( Bette is coming out quite easy this situation.) :)

No, Tina I don’t think you guys are cool. Tina never learned that Bette shared a kiss with another female.. Tut tut.. I mean they didn’t have sex, but still, not cool lady! -_- great story btw :)
Wow! very interesting comments. Yes, Bette is suffering form the long distance, but I did think that it was an interesting comment that Tina made that maybe she realized that it was just as hard on Bette as it was her. I give a small kudo to Bette for coming clean with Tina and being mature enough to take responsibility for her actions. Yes, she went over the line a bit with Ariana but she didn’t sleep with her. I think that they could make it as Tina is hard on her to be responsible for her choices and actions and that will help Bette be good and respectful of Tina in the future. I have hope.
A relationship without mutual trust is not worth pursuing, but they are young and probably think all the drama is indicative of the depth of their connection. When they get older they’ll probably prefer a good night’s sleep over arguing on the telephone. I hope they can resolve the distance issue before their games and grades suffer. I wonder if Bette will be able to keep her end of the bargain.

Bette waited a day whole to call Tina, meanwhile Tina was having difficulty concentrating on his game, waiting for a call from his girlfriend. The dating long distance, is being already damaging and this is not healthy. Tina can trust Bette – will that next discussion or frustration, Bette will not look again “the second person to the eye castalhos nicest she’s ever seen,” since the first person is far away??!!!. Tina’s mother said a great phrase, “Honey, you’ve heard that if you love someone, you should let them go?” Maybe Tina should actually follow this advice, and maybe at some future time they may be reunited again. moreeeeeeee :)
