Chapter 74:

The New York Liberty have travelled to Texas to play their 4th game of the season against the San Antonio Silver Stars.  Bette has become quite the spectacle during the games, giving fans something to cheer for.  This is the first time they are playing in another teams house so the crowd will be against them.  Bette is confident that she can continue to play with the same intensity that she has to this point.

The team will fly in on Wednesday morning and will do a light practice to prepare for the game on Thursday evening.

Bette is in her hotel room resting when she hears a knock on the door.  She opens it without looking, thinking it must be a team mate.  What she sees is a beautiful tall and breathtaking blond with big breasts and a great smile.  Bette is speechless for a moment before finding her voice.

“Um..hello..um ..Do I know you?..” Bette asked with her mouth still slightly agape.

“No you don’t, but I’m hoping we can do something about that miss Porter. I’m Mimi and I am here to make sure your stay is enjoyable.”  The woman sticks out her hand for Bette to shake but Bette instead looks up and down the hallway thinking there has to be a camera crew around looking to catch her cheating.

“Mimi, that’s nice of you but I have a girlfriend.”

“Sweetie I don’t want to be your girlfriend.  I just want to welcome you to San Antonio.  Call it southern hospitality.  Come on Bette, aren’t you going to let me in?”  She asked flashing her beautiful smile at the brunette.

“No Mimi, I’m not.  I don’t cheat on my girl.” 

“Baby, it’s not cheating if no one tells.  I’m very discreet.”

“Mimi you’re a beautiful woman and if I were single we would not be talking right now.  But the fact remains that I am not available for a random roll in the hay while on the road.  Sorry.” 

Mimi looks disappointed as she looks into the brunette’s eyes to make sure her no isn’t a maybe.  What she sees is Bette is resolute.

“Oh well.  We could have had fun.  Your girlfriend is a very lucky woman.”  Mimi said.
