Love and Pride Chapter 40
Tina stirred in bed and opened her eyes – next to her Bette was sleeping. Bette had a protective hand on Tina’s thigh. The last thing that Tina remembered was lying in Bette’s arms and listening as she whispered her love for her.
For the first time in several days Tina finally felt as good as she had for weeks in England with her girlfriend. Carefully so as not to wake her Tina eased out of bed and went into the bathroom. When she returned Bette was sitting up
“You okay ? “ Bette asked
“Did I wake you – I’m sorry ?”
“I missed a certain blonde yes – its okay – as you know I wake up pretty easily “
“Unlike me “
“Yes – unlike the woman who regardless of how subtle I am still sleeps through. It can be very annoying when I am horny – come to bed sweetheart”
Tina got into bed – noticing that it was 2:10am by the alarm clock beside Bette’s side of the bed. Tina took hold of Bette’s hand and kissed it
“I have no idea what mess I would be in now if it wasn’t for you coming to my rescue “
“You really think there are any circumstances in which I wouldn’t have done what we did. Hell I wanted to hire a private plane and come and get you personally – Helena and Peggy had to talk me out of it “
“I am glad she did – Bette – a private plane really would have been over the top”
“I seem to be in a minority of one over this but I still think that I was right “
“You usually do “ Tina said.
“Because I usually am “ Bette replied lying down and pulling Tina with her. In the half darkness Bette thought that Tina had never looked more angelic.
She moved closer to Tina and kissed her softly on the lips – Bette was hungry for her lover but anxious not to go too far too fast. Tina wrapped her arms around Bette to stop her moving away as the kiss deepened. Bette eased away

It is just so cute that Helena is as protective of Bette and Tina’s relationship as Bette is of Tina. So glad these 2 sisters worked things out and are back on good terms again. Hopefully Bette will be able to keep Hels on track w/ her studies when they get back to school. And even though Peggy is meddling a bit you can see that it is only b/c she truly cares for Bette and wants to see her step daughter happy. Post soon please.
