    LOVE CHILD

Minutes later when they finally found the auditorium and got to the doorway, Bette stopped and looked around trying to map out seats for all of them.

“Awesome! Nanny Sonya has been looking out for her boss.” Shane pointed and Bette saw Sonya waving at her.

By the time they made their way inside, found seats close to Sonya and sat down with Kit, Alice and Dana directly in front of Sonya, Bette and Shane, they had a mere two minutes before ‘The Princess and The Frog’ started.

The huge curtains opened up and the stage was extraordinarily decorated.

“Oh my god. Look at that. I have such respect for these people.” Dana said.

    “Who?” Kit asked.

“These teachers. How do you deal with twenty or more six year old first-graders at the same time?”

“I know.” Bette smiled. “It has to be a passion I guess.”

Bette keenly focused on the stage trying to see Angelica but apart from the two leads, a little african-american girl dressed in gold for playing the princess and a little boy dressed in bright green for playing the frog, all the others were all dressed similarly in, blue, pink or green and they all looked alike to her. It was difficult to make out Angelica.

    Bette knitted her brows.

“Where is she?” Dana asked, sounding confused.

Luckily Bette remembered Angelica was wearing blue this morning and she tried to look closer for the dark curly hair as the dance slowly progressed. The kids were heavily made up but she finally recognized Angelica at the front of the “pond.”

“Oh hey, I see her.” Alice laughed out as she too recognized Angelica. “But why isn’t my little goddie playing the princess?”

     “Oh Alice, be quiet.”

Shane warned and Alice looked over her shoulder and cut her eyes at Shane.

“I will have to talk to that teacher.” Alice frowned. “I’ll bribe her if I have to.”

    “Alice?” Bette clenched her teeth.

    “What?”

    “Be quiet please.”

“Okay. Jesus. Bite my head off.”

Alice gave silence her best shot and they quietly watched the opening moments of the performance for the next few minutes. And though there were a few kids who really stood out more than the others, the entire audience noticed that the kids were all really talented.
