Love in Control – Chapter III – Latch (Tina)

She pocketed the phone, and looked again at Tina, forcing a smile, summoning the courage to give Tina something that would say they’d truly shut the door. “You’re right. I’m sorry about all of this, Tina. I’m sure you’ll forget about me quickly. And I’ll do the same … at least I’ll try very hard to. Forget this whole random event that the universe threw us both into. I’ll be gone tomorrow, anyway, and, if we’re lucky, we won’t ever see each other again. …”
Tina bit her lip and turned away hurriedly, took a few steps away from the table, and made to quickly wipe her eyes with the back of her hand.
“So: goodbye, Tina. Again. And… thanks for being so … so nice about everything.”
She could deal with the hurt later. When she was back – back in Kansas City –strive to go on, as if nothing had happened. As if she hadn’t felt anything. She was getting used to this. Pretending.
Tina nodded, back to Kaci still, and then started to walk away. Kaci turned away, to look out of the picture windows, gaze at the New York city street scene below. I’m dead to her. She wants to be dead to me.
Why torture myself by watching her walk away?
Tina said quietly over her shoulder, “Goodbye, Kaci. Thanks, again, for saving TJ. Take care of yourself.”
Just as Tina exited the lounge, Cathy and two men, also in jeans, ran in like a relay team. “She’s in the back of the lounge,” Tina said, guessing one of them must have spotted the man who’d approached her and Kaci. “I don’t think he saw us. And he didn’t see my face, so …”
Cathy looked into the hazel eyes, filled with tears, and nodded her understanding. One of the men reached out a hand, as if to detain Tina. Cathy shook him off. “It’s okay. She can go. She wasn’t seen. And there’s no time to question her anyway. We definitely have to fly Kaci out of New York right away!”
As they ran in, Cathy was exclaiming, “I told Kaci! Told her coming to New York would be a terrible idea! Now look at what’s happened!”

is chapter is painful, Tina was again unfaithful, I hope for the next face that Tina be honest with Bette and Bette are angry and disappointed, I hope Bette took time alone to think about their marital future, I hope Tina suffer and drag to order forgiveness for having sexual desires for women and never stopping to kiss that whore !!! Tina has to suffer its consequences and this story made me nervous, I’m looking forward to your next chapter, thanks for today
I will be interested how you play this with Bette and Tina. There hasn’t been very much romance for Tibette in a long time. They need to reconnect and take care of their marriage. Thanks, enjoyed it
This is turning into “Love Out of Control.” I think Dan Foxworthy is going to have his hands full with Tina once again. She needs to figure out why? Why again? I was particularly drawn to the line, “…you live in New York! You can’t avoid bumping into gorgeous people here. It’s a giant candy store out there, and you must run into all manner of eye candy all the time… ” It made me think that while everyone enjoys a little candy every now and then, it has very little nutritional value. Tina seems like the type who chooses things that nourish her. She’ll figure it out.
I’ve got to find this lesbian bar you so vividly described. It sounds like its definitely worth the price of admission.
You hit all the senses again…strawberry-flavored gloss, honeysuckle scent, warm pliant tongue, pulsing beat, daring outfits. You put me right in the scenes again.
BTW, you’ve teased us long enough, I’m dying to read about Bette’s golf outing. Bring it on!
Yes sky when you said drama well what can say. I feel bad for Kaci but I’m glad Tina stopped from letting it go any further….
When i asked more B&T time, this was not what i expected :-( . Thank god Tina stopped the kiss , but she seemed to kiss back and that is not good. I know that you can be acctracted to other people while you are in a happy secure marriage, but she is/ was playing with fire.
My heart breaks for Bette, she doesn’t deserve this. Tina has to come clean. It was Kaci who started the kiss to distract the guys attention but it was Tina who kissed back. Fuck what a mess.
And Lena is that the same woman Bette is after for the foundation?
