“Is that why you haven’t talked to Kayla all this time?” Tina asked.

“Yeah,” Angelica answered.  “I really miss her.  I wish I could talk to her so I can tell her about momma and you finding each other again.  She would be so happy for me, but I can’t because her mom won’t let me.”

“How do you feel about Kayla?  I mean, if this guy hadn’t had a girlfriend, do you think you would be with him?” asked Tina.

“I don’t know,” Angelica answered confused.  “What I know is since Kayla kissed me, I definitely look at girls differently.  If given the chance to go out with a guy that I really liked, I don’t know, I might do that just to find out what it was like.  I asked Momma B if that made me a lesbian and she told me that only I could answer that question.  She also told me that I still had my whole life ahead of me to find the answer, but that I better not do anything like that again until I’m of legal age.”

“And she’s right,” Tina agreed.  “We want what’s best for you Angie.  I don’t want to seem like an overbearing mother, like my mom was.  I like the fact that you can come to us and talk to us about your feelings and it’s your choice whether you want to go out with a guy or a girl, just don’t feel like you should do it so soon.  You may be 15, but you’re still a kid.”

“I know,” Angelica said and gave Tina a hug.  “What am I going to do about Kayla?”

“I don’t know,” Tina answered.  “Give her mom time to calm down and then give her a call.  If Kayla likes you the same way you like her, she’ll come around.”

A knock broke the silence.  Angelica opened the door, let Bette in, and sat back down on her bed.

“Everything O.K. in here?” Bette asked concerned.

“Yeah,” Angelica answered.  “You were right about mommy.  She understands what I’m going through.”

“I told you all you had to do was talk to her,” Bette said.  “I’m sure there are a lot of things about your mommy that you don’t know about.”

“Hey now,” Tina said nudging Bette in the side. “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.”

“Are you guys going to stay back here all night?” asked Shane and Alice coming around the corner of Angelica’s door.  “I’d really like to watch this video from Dana if you guys don’t mind,” Alice continued.

“O.K.  We’ll be there in a minute,” Tina answered then turned back to Angelica.  “We good for now?”

“Yeah,” Angelica answered.  “I’ll get the kids to help with cleaning the dishes while you adults go do your thing.”

“You have grown up so much,” Alice stated.  “Pretty soon she’ll be breaking hearts.”

“She already has,” Tina stated.  “Why did it take so long for this tape to get to you?”

“I don’t know,” Alice replied.  “I haven’t had the time to call Howey to ask him they why’s and how comes yet.” 

They all walked thru the dining room to the living room from Angelica’s room.  Sheila was sitting in the dining room finishing her meal.

“You can watch to if you want,” Alice stated to Sheila as they walked thru. 

Bette sat down on the love seat, Tina snuggled up next to Bette, Kit sat in the chair, Shane sat on the couch, Alice laid back between Shane’s legs, and Sheila stood in the door.  They turned the VCR on and started the tape.
