Tina was in the kitchen finishing up making some pasta sauce. She wanted to have a nice dinner ready for Bette tonight. Shane, the sweetie, had stopped by earlier and said she was going to the store and would pick up whatever she needed. Of course, the price to pay for the groceries pickup was to allow Shane to spend time with Angelica. It was such a precious site to see Shane with the baby. If Shane had been protective of Bette and my relationship before, she was a rottweiler with a spike collar now that Angelica had arrived.
She had just put the pot of water on the stove to boil when she heard Bette pull into the driveway. 6:15 pm. She meant what she said. I am very impressed with my lady, Tina thought.
Outside in the driveway Bette just sat for a moment before gathering her things to head inside. It was a ***** day but she accomplished a lot. And now she was home to her family. She was pleased with herself because she kept her word about leaving work at 6 pm. Yes, it was just the first day, but Bette knew no way in ***** she was going to ***** this up this time around. She made a promise to Tina and herself and she was going to stick by it. She glanced at her wedding band and remembered what Tina had said, that we should never forget the heavy price we both paid for forgetting what these rings represented.
Faye Buckley nearly took this second chance away from Bette. She wanted to hate her for that and to wish her suffering, but knew if you wish harm to another, it will come back on the wind to you. Faye Buckley will suffer but it will be by the doing of a force more omniscient and omnipotent than Bette. She will just have to be patient and time will serve its private justice to Faye Buckley. And a little help from the justice system would be just fine, too.

Ummmit smells so good in here! I didnt realize how hungry I was until I walked in. Bette threw her work case on the couch, took off her jacket and made her way over to Tina.

Good chapters, great reading on a rainy day. Who is this Kelly person, the plot thichens. Is she from Bette’s past or Faye’s. Way to stur the soup, and keep us wanting more.

At the first mention of this mystery person I was entertaining the thought that is was Faye B…He,he…Oops!I guess I was so wrong! Who is Kelly?…hmmm….It’s a little unnerving after what Bette’s been through already, isn’t it? Ooh! The suspense is making me all jittery! Damn, that was just the espresso I had earlier! Oh well, still, the waiting is killing me! Please post again real soon, this is really good!
