Love Revisited – Coming Home Part 74

They walked hand and hand to Angelica’s room knowing they had just passed safely through the small but chaotic eye of a threatening tornado – which, if things work out, should be soon downgraded to nothing more than a few bursts of hot air.
Several days had passed and she heard nothingnadazilchzip. Those pictures didn’t bother either of them? Christ, they are more syrupy than I thought. They’re playing with me, I know it. Well, something else has to be done. I’m not giving up this chance to ***** Porter over and get a new truck at the same time.
The opening is Saturday night. Can I get in there? That would really jangle their nerves. Think, Jewel. I’ve got the digital recorder, but what to do, what to do
Yeah, after the opening is better. Less people around. I’d like to have their undivided attention.
You’re not rid of me yet, Bette Porter. One last go around and maybe we’ll be even.

Bette and James were making the last walk through on Saturday morning.
All last minute checkup and confirming calls for music, food, and checks on lighting and placement were made last night. Bette always did another walk through the gallery though. She went outside and walked in wanting to see it as others would when they entered the gallery.
She smiled. It looked great – no, it looked fabulous and had the Porter signature all over it in style and presentation. This could be my gallery and one of my opening nights, she thought. Well, maybe, just maybe, that’s going to happen again.
Bette had been so busy she didn’t have time to be nervous or think again about the opening night fears she had. Now that they had reached this day, the demons were scurrying forward to whisper their torments. Tina had assured her everything was going to be all right.
I believe her, I trust her, I love her more than she’ll ever understand; I just wish I could get beyond the fear of what resurfaced memories might do to her – to us.

Oh Helena. How many more times does she need to fall flat on her face to get it?! There is no beating Bette Porter!! She’s an impervious life force. Even if you do get to her, she’s got the likes of armies backing her up with a most beautiful and loyal second in command. *Shakes head* Some people are just thickheaded. Thanks, rc!
LOL there is some good stuff happening in this chapter. Apparentely Helena has not heard the old saying “Don’t pitch pennies with someone that has 5 dollars when you only have a quarter.” In other words Bette has a lot more supportive friends and therefore back-up than she does. Money can not buy everything, and it does not keep you warm at night. Helena give up while you are behind because this hole that you are in is only going to get DEEPER. Way to support your wife Tina, good job arceextl this story is only getting better by the post, please continue.
I do so love this story. Happy that you let Ivan stop HelNorather than Bette, because if Bette had stopped her there would have been a big fight. Ivan is also gaining Bette & Tina’s respect for stopping HelNo and protecting his (hopefully, soon to be) family member. Thanks for this great story.

RC…OMG, I’m glad Bette held her anger in check. Tina is definitely not going to back down. Helena and Candance are not only battling Bette & Tina..but their loyal army of friends. The war was over before it began…Helena and Candance should just go off together. Thanks to Ivan for Helena’s exit out of the sandbox…otherwise, she would have been buried in it head first.
