”So, what’s up?” I quiz into the phone, grinning in anticipation of what my reporter friend is about to deliver.

”I’ve got news, but it’s not too good,” Alice replies hurriedly.

That makes my toothy smile fade away along with all the excitement I had pleasure to feel. ”Wha–”

”I have no time to discuss this right now, I was just calling to tell you to meet me for drinks at Starlight tonight. I’ll tell you everything there. 8pm, don’t be late. Bye,” and the line goes dead.

Dammit, Alice. I hate when she does this, getting me all intrigued like that. Now I have to stand here like a dummy falling into a dozen of assumptions what can the not too good news be. As I stare out the window absently, a thought comes to my mind: what if Tina is straight? Is that the bad news Alice is going to tell me about? If that’s the case, then I’m not even slightly discouraged. You know, a girl is straight before she’s not. But what if it’s not the matter? What if she has someone, or worse, is in love with someone already? Then it’s a damn tough challenge. Or probably not. Who said she couldn’t fall out of love? I only have to work my charms and in no time she’s falling in love with me.

Anyway, my interest is still there, which is quite extraordinary, because usually I get bored rather quickly, especially in the love field.

Too wrapped up in my own little world, I didn’t notice that Nadia is no longer present in the room. Also, I don’t see her stuff anywhere and the smell of coffee doesn’t reach the sensory cells of my nasal cavity. Scurrying out of the bedroom, I’m determined to find my bedmate still wandering around the penthouse. For all that, I’m not yet finished with her, if you know what I mean.

”Nadia?” I call out, climbing down the stairs. As I pass by the lounge space, I overhear her voice coming out from the terrace. Good, she is still here. I just hope she won’t be difficult because of the way our sexual intercourse ended.

Stepping out onto the terrace, I feel pleasurable tingles spread all over my skin as bright summer sun heats my body up with its hot rays. Ah, such a good day, I think to myself with a serene smile. My gaze falls on Nadia, who’s reclining on one of the loveseats with a disgruntled grimace on her face chatting on her phone. She is fully dressed already, and I’m sure she has deliberately put her clothes on as if to show me that she’s ready to leave, to make me want to stop her. But we all know that if she was actually going to leave, she would have done it by now instead of still bumming around at my place. She knows she wants me, but she would prefer to be a show-off rather then tell me how she really feels. She would sit here for hours and wait until I crawl over to her and beg for forgiveness. Or so she hopes for.
