    Alice and Shane commiserate, Bette and Tina plan to get away, Dana manages to keep Al and Shane out of trouble, and Helena and Lara enjoy some downtime. (Oh, and can you say Danish interruptus?)

    The Sunday Los Angeles Times arrives about five am on millions of doorsteps through all of Southern California. Savoring it over a lazy breakfast and several cups of coffee was a cherished pastime that almost always made Alice feel better. Although she gave it her best effort, it just wasn’t working for her on this particular Sunday morning. She was still feeling the effects of the muscle relaxant from the night before and had absolutely no idea why she was so on edge.

    Dave sensed her uneasiness and stuck close, trying to keep some physical contact with her at all times. As cute and reassuring as it was, it also annoyed her and that’s when Alice knew she had to get out of the house and try to clear her head. She dressed quickly and stuck her head in the office, where Dana was pouring over the master calendar of speaking dates, events and tournaments that Alice had assembled on Friday.

    “Hey baby,” Dana smiled brightly, “this is really good. How did you remember everything?”

    “I’m a writer,” Alice said drolly, “I take good notes. Speaking of which, did you see my note about Mercedes checking our availability for a sponsorship meeting for next year’s Think Pink in two weeks?”

    “That’s something huh?”

    “Yeah.” Alice felt her heart tug with love and pride, and still, she needed to get out for a while. “Did Beth call you?”

    “She did and she has already agreed to serve as our celebrity chair.” Dana answered. “It’s just amazing to me.”

    “You are the amazing one.” Alice moved into the room and gave Dana a kiss. “Listen, I’m going to go get Shane and take her for a late lunch and then just hang for a bit. I’ll be back by six or so.”

    “Okay,” Dana was caught off guard, but hid it well. Obviously Al was trying to figure out what was bothering her and, while Dana had her suspicions, she’d also promised herself to let Alice come to it on her own. “Have fun…and save room because Dave and I are grilling tonight.”

    “I will,” Alice promised. “And I’ll even bring something home for dessert, okay?

    “Deal,” Dana wagged her eyebrows.

    “I meant a cake or something Dane.”

    14. LMFAO great chapter, it took me two days to read it I’ve been in and out so much but I’ve got to say amazing. LOOOOOOVE drunk Alice, and Dana was spot on perfect and even though I am nothing like Dana I felt strangely connected to her actions lol. Another perfect chapter, I can’t wait to see what Alice does next she might be fighting a lovely hangover though. Perfect BMB Absolutely Perfect!!!!! Post Soon.
