ok… it may be a little shorter than all the other chapters… but it’s the best i can do for now… hope ya like it… yikes!

Chapter 9

It’s been a week now since the fashion show.  Shane picked up Carmen to go to the park with her and the boys.  They had a lot of fun that day.  They didn’t really talk about anything serious.  All their attention was on the boys.  Carmen grew closer to Shay and Harmon.  She really loved spending that time with Shane and the boys.  She managed to have a really close relationship with Harmon.  It’s like Carmen has been around Harmon his whole life. Shay left two days after the day at the park to spend some time with Carla.  She hadn’t seen him since the day they left Oregon, but they did talk almost every day.  Carla was doing better and Shane saw that in her.

Carmen and Shane haven’t really seen much of each other.  Shane was real busy with WAX and Harmon.  She would get home to her new place and be exhausted.  Harmon wasn’t much of a handful, but he did always want to play at the wrong hours of the day.  Carmen was also busy herself with DJing.  Russell had a lot planned for her and it kept her quite busy.  Along with the fact that Carmen had been trying to get a hold of Gabrielle, but was finding it hard to do yet again.  Shane and Carmen didn’t really know where they stood, but they knew that they had to talk soon and figure things out.

Carmen is getting ready to go on a picnic with Shane.  They both finally found time and Shane offered to take Carmen to lunch.  “A picnic at the park.”  Shane said.  Carmen gets up excitedly as she hears a knock at her door.  She answers the door, only to not be the person she thought it would be.

“Hey you!  Ya miss me?”  The woman said.

“Gabrielle, I’ve been trying to call you for a while now.”

“I know and now I’m here…   So what’s up?” Gabrielle says as she walks towards Carmen leaving the door wide opened.  She wraps her arms around Carmen’s waist and plants a quick peck on her lips.
