Irwin – I suppose I better call Dana and tell her to make our outing for another night. You should go lie down and rest. Don’t forget to take one of those migraine pills of your’s.

Sharon remained speechless and walked to the bedroom. A few seconds later she was in the master bathroom, kneeling on the floor in front of the toliet getting sick. She normally didn’t have it this bad where she was emptying the contents of her stomach… not that there was much to get rid of. She hadn’t been able to eat since the funeral and especially after the will was read. The whole thing was just ridiculous.

The idea of Dana being given that house made her stomach churn. It wasn’t that she didn’t think that her daughter deserved such a gift, but it was anything but that. She regretted the thought of not doing what she didn’t have the courage to do when they put her mother in the nursing home and that was burning the house to the ground. Dana wouldn’t be happy there or anyone else for that matter. Bad things happened in that house and no blessing or exorcism was going to cleanse this place. Dana would never know the truth.

While Sharon is in the bathroom, Irwin gets on the phone and calls his daughter. It rings several times before it’s answered.

Dana – Hello.

Irwin – Hi, pumpkin.

Dana – Hi, daddy. What’s up? Forget what time we were meeting?

Irwin – Actually, I called because we have to cancel tonight. Your mother has one of those headaches.

Dana – I’m sorry to hear that. I guess we’ll have to do this another night.

Irwin – I know you were looking forward to this.

Dana – I just had some news that I wanted to share with you both.

Irwin – Is this about your career?

Dana – Nope… this is personal.

Irwin – Now I’m curious.

Dana – We’ll re-schedule and do this in a day or two. I don’t want to tell you over the phone…. but just so you don’t worry, it’s good news… or at least I know you’ll be happy for me.

Irwin – Uh oh… sounds like maybe your mother won’t like this as much?
