    Bette has decided to go to LA

    In the corner of her eye Bette saw the message on the screen of her laptop “You have a new message.” She felt excitement coming up inside, she looked up to Freddy but she was too busy with her clothes to notice anything. Bette wanted to see the message, she had only sent one message today, so there was a big chance it was from her. She clicked on the button of her inbox. It was a message generated by the same site she had used, so there was no mistake from who this could be, she was sure it was from her. She wanted to click on the link, but had to resist it, it was too risky with Freddy so close to her. She had to wait till she was out of the room, it was almost not possible. This excitement made her smile inside, she was acting like a teenager, she knew that but couldn’t help it.

    This morning, after breakfast, she had told the girls that she needed to do some work and went to her bedroom. She had no work to do, she just needed to get a message out, this was an urge she had felt ever since Tina had left in the early morning of Christmas day. Bette had tried to ignore it the last days, she tried to keep her mind to Christmas, the girls and Freddy but as hard as she tried, the thought of Tina kept coming back. Mostly in the nights or early mornings, then her thoughts went back to the Christmas morning, to the feeling she had and the things she wished she had done. This morning she had not been able to resist it any more and had made the excuse so she could find the site and the email address she needed. After she had pressed the send button, she felt like a teenager, like she did now again, as if this was the first, most naughty thing she had ever done in her love life. Well, it was the first time she used this kind of communication to get her point across in this kind of matters.

    “Okay, I think I am ready.” Freddy said and Bette had to refocus, putting her attention on the blond woman in front of her. “ Are you sure?” Bette responded to get her mind back. “Oui, but if I forgot something, you can take it, non?” Freddy said as she picked up her suitcase and bag to carry it out of the bedroom to the front door. Bette got up, closing the laptop before she went out, following Freddy. The taxi wasn’t there yet, the girls were sitting at the fire place, chilling out. They had plans to go to the ski slopes but waited politely till Freddy had left. Freddy had been nice company, very relaxed but straight forward. It was a shame she had to leave already, they all liked her. Freddy had received an important phone call and was forced to go back to France as soon as possible. Bette had offered to join her, but Freddy didn’t want that, she wanted Bette to stay with her friends, she hadn’t seen for such a long time. And so they rescheduled Freddy’s ticket and now it was time for her to go. They all said goodbye and spoke out the wishes to see her soon again. Then she and Bette went outside to do their goodbyes.
